SpaceX announced two hours ago that it had successfully deployed 46 Starlink satellites into orbit, delivered by a Falcon 9 rocket. This is its 32nd mission this year – despite 31 launches in all of 2021. SpaceX turned the Falcon 9 into a true space shuttle that, on average, orbits once every 6 days.

SpaceX successfully launched 46 Starlink satellites into orbit. This is the 32nd Falcon 9 rocket mission this year - despite the fact that 31 Falcon 9 launches were made in the whole of 2021.

Earlier this year, SpaceX set an incredibly ambitious goal of launching 52 missions per year. That number of launches was released by NASA’s Safety Advisory Panel in January with a warning that SpaceX must still strive to maintain safety amid the increased pace. “NASA and SpaceX will have to watch closely to ensure they don’t fall prey to their success in 2022“said then-former NASA astronaut and member of the NASA Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel Sandy Magnus. But so far, SpaceX has stuck to its schedule, and the company has only had zero-problem missions this year (if we’re talking specifically about the Falcon 9 rocket).

As for today’s launch, it was from the site of Vandenberg Air Force Base in California (the second launch from this site within 12 days). The first stage landed on the Of Course I Still Love You floating platform. The company has already launched 2,603 Starlink satellites, of which 2,569 are operational. And the Starlink satellite Internet service is already operating in 36 countries.

The creators emphasize that the lock is fully automatic – no additional actions are required with it after opening or closing the door. So, for example, when the door is closed, the lock is blocked automatically (relatively speaking, the “night latch” is automatically activated). You can unlock the device in five different ways: for example, by using a code on the digital panel, by scanning your fingerprint (response speed – 0.369 s) or from a smartphone. Naturally, the TL-SL31 Lite supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Unlimited by power limits the Core i9 13900K shows incredible performance

The Core i9-13900K processor, in the absence of a power limit, can compete with the monstrous Ryzen Threadripper.

Unlimited by power limits, the Core i9-13900K shows incredible performance, but also consumes more than a HEDT-class CPU

Testing showed that in Cinebech R23 in multi-threaded mode, the upcoming Intel flagship in the regular version out of the box is gaining almost 35,700 points. And this result is already very good, since, for example, the Core i9-12900K scores 27,500 points, and the 32-core Threadripper 2990X scores 30,000 points.

But if you remove the power limit, then the Core i9-13900K is already gaining more than 40,600 points! And this already correlates with the capabilities of the modern 24-core Threadripper 5965WX, and the 32-core Threadripper 5975WX is not catastrophically faster.

The price to pay for this performance will be power consumption. The CPU consumes more than 250 W under load even without any modifications, and in the absence of restrictions, the figure soars up to 345 W! This is more than the same Threadripper 5000 requires.

Recall that the Core i9-13900K will still have only eight large cores, although there will already be 16 small ones.
