Sony Corporation decided to teach gamepads of its production to identify users. The company received a patent on the PS5only Twitter channel.
According to the author of the post, the new technology is designed to reduce the likelihood of anonymous manual switching of gaming profiles to zero when using the same device.
In other words, “little tricks”, such as handing over the gamepad to a more experienced user to improve the gaming process, will not work after the patented solution is implemented (every fact of involving third-party gamers will be reflected in the profile).
