Some iPhones overheat after installing iOS 16. Users share their impressions of the new firmware
Yesterday, Apple officially released the official version of iOS 16, which became available for smartphones starting with the iPhone 8.
For the first few hours, the following issue existed: when attempting to update apps after installing iOS 16, users were required to accept the new terms of the App Store. But if you click the “Accept” button, an error appeared. Apple has already fixed the problem.
Currently, many users have updated and have already shared their experiences, which are mostly positive.
Whether it’s a four-year-old iPhone XS/XR or an iPhone 12/13, the shell runs equally smoothly. At the same time, there was information that some users encountered a problem of constant heating after the update. A solution has already appeared: in this case, it is enough to reboot the phone twice and let it rest for 10-20 minutes so that it returns to normal.
The new lock screen has been criticized. This time, Apple has made drastic changes to the lock screen, including layered background images, widgets, notification messages displayed at the bottom. You can set multiple lock screens and switch the corresponding focus mode and wallpaper according to the lock screen.
The biggest negative comment about the new lock screen concerns the huge font chosen for the time.

The battery life of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is better than that of its main Android competitors, but not by much

Among the new iPhone 15, the most autonomous, as we already know, was not the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but it took second place. Now, as Apple’s best solution at the moment, it has been compared with other flagships on the market.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Pixel 7 Pro, OnePlus 11, Xiaomi 13 Ultra took part in the battle against the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max was also taken for greater effect.
The first to drop out of the race was the Pixel 7 Pro, as having the most power-hungry platform. The device worked for 8 hours 13 minutes. OnePlus 11 was the second to give in, but the gap from the outsider turned out to be very large: the Chinese device worked for 9 hours and 48 minutes. The iPhone 14 Pro Max lasted literally a little longer: 9 hours 59 minutes.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra worked for exactly 10 hours, the Samsung flagship worked 27 minutes longer, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max took first place with a result of 10 hours and 31 minutes.
Of course, all autonomy tests are carried out differently, so the results may differ, although not radically. But we can state that, firstly, Apple’s flagship is better again this year, and secondly, its advantage over some competitors is not particularly significant.
