Last year, Redmi launched the K30S Extreme Edition model in the second half of the year. It is an inexpensive flagship with an LCD screen and is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship platform. Now a well-known insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station has revealed details about the Redmi K40S smartphone.

An insider got access to an engineering sample of the Redmi K40S, which is based on the Snapdragon 870 single-chip system. It is equipped with a 50-megapixel camera that allows you to take pictures with a resolution of up to 6144 x 8192 pixels.

As for the display, the model ditched the LCD screen in favor of a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen will be flat with no side bends.

Other sources suggest that the Xiaomi 11T smartphone, which will be launched on global markets on September 15, will later be released in China under the name Redmi K40S.

The Xiaomi 11T lineup will have two models, including the older one, which in terms of characteristics will resemble the Xiaomi Mix 4. The smartphone will receive a Snapdragon 888 single-chip system, a 5000 mAh battery and support for 120 W fast charging.

Chinese carmaker Geely, which owns Volvo, has announced that its chairman Eric Li, also known as Li Shufu, is setting up a new company that will make premium smartphones.

Founder Zhejiang Geely Holding’s new venture will aim to launch its first smartphone by 2023 and sell 3 million units in the first year.

Lee had previously made futuristic bets on ventures such as flying cars and helicopter taxis. In a smartphone market that is no longer growing in China, the new company will have to compete with Apple, Xiaomi and other established manufacturers.

Notably, smartphone makers are looking to enter the electric vehicle market, realizing that the smartphone boom is coming to an end. However, Geely is the first car manufacturer to try to move in the opposite direction.

The company said in a statement to Reuters that the new company will be called Hubei Xingji Shidai Technology Co Ltd and that it has already signed an agreement with the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone to establish a headquarters in the central city of Wuhan. Li owns 55% of Xingji Shidai. The project will be financed with an investment of $ 1.55 billion.

MSI has unveiled the MEG CoreLiquid S series of liquid cooling systems developed in collaboration with Asetek. The series includes two models with aluminum radiators 280 mm and 360 mm long. The radiators are equipped with low-noise MSI MEG Silent Gale fans that turn on only when needed, and a 2.4-inch IPS display is built into the pump cover. The 7th generation Asetek pump features improved leakage resistance and increased durability.

The blades of the aforementioned fans are made of Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP), a dense plastic with a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Their shape ensures maximum airflow. The rotor is supported by a hydrodynamic bearing to reduce noise and increase service life. Anti-vibration bushings are pressed in the corners of the fan frame. The rotation speed is adjustable in the range of 0-2000 rpm. The maximum speed corresponds to a flow of 95.54 m3/ h and a noise level of 22.7 dBA.
