Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, AMOLED 3K screen, 50MP camera with axial stabilizer, 4700mAh battery. iQOO 10 Pro unveiled – the world’s first smartphone with 200-watt charging
Today, a new generation of iQOO’s flagship smartphones, the iQOO 10 and iQOO 10 Pro, are being introduced in China. This news is about the older model, which attracts attention with support for ultra-fast charging, which neither Xiaomi, nor Samsung or Apple, have.
iQOO 10 Pro supports 200W wired charging, the world’s first mass-produced model to support such fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the device’s 4700 mAh rechargeable battery charges in just 10 minutes (the corresponding power supply is included). It also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
It is quite logical that iQOO 10 Pro, being the flagship of the second half of 2022, is built on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 single-chip platform. Its performance is over 1,130,000 points in AnTuTu. The SoC is cooled using a 2802 mm vapor chamber2.
iQOO 10 Pro received a Samsung E5 AMOLED screen, it is characterized by a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a frame rate of 120 Hz. Below the screen is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The main camera is represented by three modules. In the main – a 50-megapixel sensor Samsung S5KGN5 optical format 1 / 1.57 inches with an axial stabilizer. There is another 50-megapixel sensor – Samsung S5KJN1. The module with it uses an ultra wide-angle lens with a 150° field of view. Finally, the third module – with a portrait lens and not the most standard sensor Samsung S5K3P9SX with a resolution of 14.6 megapixels. It has optical image stabilization.
The iQOO 10 Pro configuration also includes stereo speakers and an IR emitter. The weight is 215 grams, and Android 12, of course, acts as the OS. Prices are as follows: 8/256 GB – $ 740, 12/256 GB – $ 815, 12/512 GB – $ 890.

Everything is heading towards the release of an iPhone without Dynamic Island and any cutouts or holes. LG Innotek is already preparing such a screen

LG Innotek has begun developing an advanced “under panel camera” (UPC) that has no visible lens hole. According to TheElec, such screens will be designed for full-screen iPhones without cutouts or holes.
UPC technology means that the camera lens is not visible when the camera application is not running. In this case, an image can be displayed above the camera area in an inactive state. UPC is also called under display camera (UDC).
Since the UPC camera is located below the display, the amount of light transmitted to the image sensor is less than that of a regular front camera module. Because of this structure, under-screen cameras do not produce very high-quality pictures and videos.
LG Innotek is developing a special lens called Freeform Optic to overcome the UPC limitations of not producing enough light. The patent states: “By using a Freeform Optic lens, the thickness of the peripheral lens can be controlled, thereby reducing optical system and optical module aberration (a phenomenon in which images are blurred due to the shape of the lens), as well as increasing the amount of light received. The image quality can be improved.”
Although LG Innotek has already begun development, the use of such displays in iPhones can only be expected after 2026, according to TheElec. Apple has reportedly already received UPC samples from other companies, but has rated their performance as unsatisfactory.
Apple is reportedly planning to place Face ID sensors under the screen before moving to UPC technology. Then the iPhone will have one round hole instead of the Dynamic Island.
