The network has new data about the future A16 Bionic processor for the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max. This will make the top smartphones of the future lineup much better at video games.

There are no exact specifications yet, but it is claimed that the new generation SoC will be faster and more efficient than current models. The processor part of the A16 will receive 6 cores – 2 high-performance and 4 energy efficient. The new system-on-a-chip will be manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process and will feature over 20 billion transistors.

The A16 Bionic will also be paired with faster LPDDR5x memory that consumes less power, which should improve the performance of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max despite having a more powerful chip.

At the same time, the base models of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will use the old LPDDR4x RAM. They also promised to use an overclocked version of the A15 Bionic with a 5-core graphics subsystem. The current iPhone 13 models have only 4 graphics cores.

Earlier it was reported that only the Pro / Pro Max models will have 6GB of RAM.

Besides, such rumors have been circulating for a long time.

Given that Ubisoft, Rockstar and Activision Blizzard have their own launchers, it’s possible that Sony wants to join them. At the same time, the presence of a launcher does not mean that games will not be available on third-party platforms.
