Last year, in May, Realme launched its first smartwatch called Realme Watch S. A few months ago, it launched the Realme Watch S Pro. The company is now preparing to launch a successor to its first watch.
Realme has a Realme Link mobile app that acts as a control center for all of the company’s connected devices. The application source code has confirmed the existence of the Realme Watch 2 and Realme Watch 2 Pro smartwatches.
Mentioning two future smartwatches in the company’s app hints that Realme is pretty close to announcing them officially. Unfortunately, the application does not say anything about the characteristics and functions of the smartwatch.
The recently launched Realme Watch S Pro features a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with 454 x 454 pixels with Always-on display support and 450 cd / m2 brightness. The screen supports an automatic brightness adjustment function that has five values. The Realme Watch S Pro offers over 100 watch faces and is equipped with a blood oxygen level (SpO2) sensor as well as a heart rate sensor. It supports 15 different sports modes to track your workouts, including swimming, cricket, yoga, outdoor running and walking, outdoor cycling, hiking, and more. The watch is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-M4 processor. The device is waterproof (5 ATM) and is equipped with a high-precision Dual-Satellite GPS (GNSS) sensor. The battery capacity is 420 mAh, it allows you to work for hours up to 14 days without recharging.
Apple Declares 2013 and 2014 iMacs Obsolete and Watch Series 2 Smartwatches ‘Vintage’
Apple has added three models of iMacs to its list of obsolete products: a 21.5-inch screen from 2013, a 21.5-inch screen from 2014, and a 27-inch Retina 5K screen also from 2014.
Apple typically deprecates products seven years after they were released, so it’s no surprise that the 2013 and 2014 iMacs are on the list.
As for smart watches Apple Watch Series 2, they are recognized as “vintage”. This category usually includes devices that have been released for five years. There may be problems with the official repair of the aforementioned iMacs.
The era of “post-smartphones”: Humane criticizes smart glasses and promises to show new devices in the spring of 2023
Startup Humane, founded by former Apple employees, has officially announced that its first products will be presented in the spring of 2023.
Former Apple designer Imran Chaudhry spoke at The Business of Fashion’s Voices 2022 conference about “the post-smartphone era and how artificial intelligence will change everything.” At the end of his speech, he confirmed the presentation of new products at the beginning of next year.
The teaser features a hand, the Humane logo, and the words “Spring 2023”. Presumably then we will see both wearables and the operating system or platform behind them.
Judging by the patents, teaser and previously released information, Humane is most likely working on an Android-based wearable device that projects an image onto your hand.
In addition, Chaudhry criticized smart glasses, stating that they “add a barrier between the person and their surroundings.” He believes that few people want to walk in this form.
Putting computation on our face not only makes us look funny, it doesn’t enhance our humanity either. Rather, it has a negative impact on our human connection because eye contact is an important part of human connection. It helps us understand each other and feel closer to others.
