Skoda, which this week unveiled the Vision 7S concept car, also announced an updated logo. It should be noted that until recently Skoda remained one of the few companies that have not modernized the logo in recent years.
The stylized arrow and Indian feather headdress that have been on Czech cars since 1926 will remain, but will again become flat. Since the brand, following fashion, prefers letter writing, we will see this sign less often.
Corporate shades will be two tones of green – Emerald and Electric Green. In the near future, the new logo will be added to the company’s websites and printed materials.
Cars with the new logo will hit the market next year. There are no logos on the presented Vision 7S crossover: the Skoda inscription appeared on the hood and trunk.
Vertical Aerospace conducted manned tests of an electric tiltrotor, which they plan to use in an air taxi
Vertical Aerospace has conducted the first flight tests of the VX4 eVTOL, which is planned to be used in the same.
Many companies have been developing flying taxis in recent years. They are often battery powered and fly by an electric motor, as this reduces noise, eliminates harmful emissions and greatly simplifies the maintenance of engines and transmissions.
Now Vertical Aerospace has tested its version of the air taxi. The engineers were so confident in the design that the first test flight took place in manned mode. During it, the prototype only slightly lifted off the ground, and therefore the company did not publish a video. The VX4 eVTOL is a tiltrotor – that is, it takes off vertically like a helicopter, after which it turns the propellers and continues to fly like an airplane.
In total, 8 propellers are installed on the experimental tiltrotor, of which 4 are used only during takeoff and landing and are folded in cruising mode. Vertical Aerospace claims a top speed of 325 km/h and a range of over 161 km. Thus, the tiltrotor will not only be able to fly around the city, but also allow you to travel in a small region, and is also capable of performing some light regional duties. The developer claims to have received more than 1,400 conditional pre-orders from a range of airlines, tour groups and other operators. This is a lot: for comparison, only about 1,000 civilian helicopters are produced per year.

The BMW XM is a full-size luxury crossover with a length of 5.1 meters and a wheelbase similar to the BMW X7 (3.1 mm). In the exterior of the new model, the emphasis is on golden details: rims, glass edges, grille trim and other body elements.
