Sharp has introduced a new version of the push-button Android smartphone Aquos Keitai 4. It is made in a clamshell form factor, but classic. That is, the smartphone has a mechanical keyboard.
Inside, there is a 3.4-inch LCD with a resolution of 960 × 540 pixels, a budget Qualcomm 215 processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of permanent memory, plus a microSD card slot up to 32 GB. The only camera received a single 8 megapixel sensor, there is also a battery with a capacity of 1680 mAh. USB Type-C is used for charging and data exchange (the previous version had microUSB).
In addition, there are Wi-Fi adapters (only 2.4 GHz), Bluetooth 5 and a built-in pedometer. The button on the side of the smartphone turns on the recording of a telephone conversation, and the screen received a high contrast mode for websites.
The price has not yet been announced, the novelty will go on sale in Japan on October 28 in black and white. It is not yet clear whether the smartphone will be presented in other countries.
