Scientists have announced the almost complete decoding of the human genome
It has been 20 years since the completion of the Human Genome Project, in which scientists sequenced the human genome over more than 10 years. Despite the fact that this event is usually referred to as the decoding of the entire genome, in fact, 92% of the DNA nucleotide sequences were sequenced as part of the project.
And just the other day, an article was published that tells about the decoding of almost all the remaining base pairs. To be more precise, we are talking about 200 million pairs. Thus, scientists now have an almost completely deciphered human genome, although 10 million pairs still remain intact.
Previously undecipherable genome sequences that are now known include protective telomeres and dense projections called centromeres that typically sit in the middle of each chromosome and help organize its replication. Also, the short arms of five chromosomes are almost completely revealed, in which the centromeres are beveled to one end. These short arms were known to contain many genes that code for the backbone of the ribosome.
The new reference genome was named T2T-CHM13. Scientists note that these parts of the human genome are important for understanding genetic diseases, human diversity and evolution, as well as understanding how the genome as a whole works.

Due to American sanctions, Huawei was unable to produce smartphones with 5G modems for a long time – the company was simply cut off from supplies of both the necessary components and ready-made single-chip systems with integrated 5G support. But now everything will change: Huawei has its own SoC with a 5G modem, and the first smartphone based on it will be the Nova 12 Ultra.
This model, designated by catalog number ADA-AL00U, has already been certified in China, and the description specifically indicates 5G support. And the well-known insider Digital Chat Station revealed additional details.
According to him, the new mid-level Huawei smartphone (the Nova line is one of these) will have a Kirin 9000s SoC with a 5G modem. It will differ from the regular version of Kirin 9000s by a slightly lower (only 130 MHz) frequency of the large core. The Kirin 9000s configuration, we recall, looks like this: a large core with a frequency of 2.49 GHz, three medium cores with a frequency of 2.15 GHz and four small cores with a frequency of 1.53 GHz. According to rumors, the premiere of the Nova 12 line will take place in December.

The more powerful Hennessey version gets a high-performance air intake system, a special camshaft, an upgraded exhaust system, high-performance catalytic converters and new intake valves. The H1000 kit comes with a three-year/60,000km warranty.
The price of this version has not yet been announced.
