The press release leaked to the Web, dedicated to the next flagships of Samsung, contains an interesting detail, designed in small print somewhere in its backyard. In a block that usually few people read, we are talking about software update guarantees for current and future flagships.
In most cases, the Android Guaranteed Update Program covers two years and includes two OS releases, respectively, but in the case of the latest Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8, this period is doubled. This means that debuting with Android 12 preinstalled, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 will get Android 16. And that’s not all: in addition to four years of “big updates”, five years of Android security updates have been announced. That is, in fact, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 will be updated until 2027.
The list of smartphones that will be updated for five years in a similar pattern (four Android updates and five years of security updates) also mentions the Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3. However, due to the fact that they came out in 2021, they will receive Android 15 and will be updated until 2026.

Vivo has introduced a mid-range smartphone S17 Pro, which stands out from the background of most similar devices and even many more expensive ones with the presence of a camera.

Ross Young, an industry analyst and founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, confirmed his own data that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will be larger than their predecessors. The former will receive a 6.27-inch display, while the latter will have a 6.86-inch panel. Probably Apple will refer to them as 6.3 and 6.9 inches respectively.
The screens will be 120Hz and still have the same Dynamic Island cutout. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models will retain the size of their predecessors and 60Hz screens.
In the iPhone 17 line, older models will receive the same panels as the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, but instead of the Dynamic Island cutout, they will only have a cutout for the front camera, and the Face ID module will be placed completely under the screen. But the iPhone 17 and 17 Plus models will retain Dynamic Island, but will finally get 120-Hz panels.
