These devices promise to provide users with superior sound quality thanks to the latest technology. The Samsung HW-S800B measures just 38 x 40mm and is positioned as the best soundbar to use with The Frame TV. The ultra-thin soundbar can be hung discreetly on the wall below your TV. The HW-S800B has two speakers on both sides and supports Dolby Atmos. The Samsung HW-S800B soundbar costs around $740.

The Samsung HW-Q990B soundbar is equipped with several innovative features including surround sound, Dolby Atmos, and when connected to a Samsung Neo OLED 8K TV, it outputs very high quality 3D stereo sound. The Q-Symphony function helps create optimal surround sound. This new version of Q-Symphony uses all of the TV’s speakers, unlike previous models. The connection to the TV can be made via Wi-Fi instead of an HDMI cable. The HW-S800B soundbar is priced at $1,555.

Bitcoin soared to the equivalent of 38000 in Nigeria

The price of one bitcoin (BTC) in Nigeria soared to the equivalent of $38,000 in the local currency, naira. This is significantly higher than the price of bitcoin on the world market, which is about $23,000.

At the time of writing, on the Nigerian crypto exchange NairaEX for 1 bitcoin they give 17.4 million naira, which corresponds to 37.8 thousand dollars. The peak value was 38.8 thousand dollars.

This is due to the fact that the Central Bank of Nigeria continues to impose restrictions on cash withdrawals from ATMs in order to reduce the share of cash in money circulation.

Bitcoin soared to the equivalent of $38,000 in Nigeria

In January, new rules were introduced that allowed Nigerians to withdraw no more than 20,000 naira (about $43.50) from ATMs per day, with a weekly limit of 100,000 naira (about $217).

The move was also taken just days before the new naira notes entered circulation in an effort to curb inflation and money laundering. The central bank has set a January 24 deadline for Nigerians to exchange their old higher denomination banknotes for the new currency.

However, long queues and complaints forced the Central Bank to extend Nigeria’s deadline until Feb. 10.

The free GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) raster graphics editor is about to receive a major update. This was reported by the GNU development team in their recent annual report.

Free and open source graphics editor: the mythical GIMP 3.0 will be released before the end of 2023, officially

In November 2022, GIMP celebrated its 27th birthday. Thus, users have been waiting for the third version for a really long time. The possible release of GIMP 3.0 has been talked about for a decade. GIMP 3.0 will have a redesigned user interface, a migration from GTK2 to GTK, and many other changes.

Until the end of 2023, the release of stable versions, or at least the first release candidates, is expected. True, in the report, the developer Jean Pages also left himself room for maneuver:

Here. I said it. If it doesn’t, remember that it wasn’t a promise.

He also explained:

There’s still a lot to be done, so I hope I’m not making a fool of myself. But at some point, the impossibility of the release is simply disappointing. Of course, we’re still within acceptable development time limits (GIMP 2.8-2.10 took 6 years, we’re still in our fifth year after 2.10), but I really want to get it over with.
