Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled its 2021 soundbar lineup alongside its Neo QLED TVs. Some of these soundbars went on sale in the US last month, and now the South Korean company has started taking pre-orders for the flagship HW-Q950A soundbar.

Samsung HW-Q950A, according to the manufacturer, is the world’s first 11.1.4-channel soundbar. The device supports Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, and the maximum power is 616W (RMS). The device is currently available in the US through B&H Photo Video for $ 1,798.

Samsung’s first 11.1.4-channel soundbar is the successor to last year’s 9.1.4-channel HW-Q950T soundbar. The new system includes a soundbar, wireless subwoofer and two rear speakers. The soundbar itself includes four center speakers and six side drivers for surround sound.

With Samsung’s SpaceFit feature, the Sound HW-Q950A can automatically calibrate by calculating the size and characteristics of the room’s reverberation. However, the soundbar fully reveals its capabilities only when paired with Samsung QLED TVs, using the microphone and signal processor of the TV. Additional features include Q-Symphony, dual band Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Alexa, 4K HDR10 + streaming, SmartThings, and Tap Sound.

Samsung HW-Q950A is expected to go on sale next month.

We are talking about the ability to remove the Discover ribbon (Recommendations) from the Chrome New Tab page. On mobile versions of the Google Chrome browser, the new tab page currently hosts a search bar, most viewed websites, and two content feeds. One of them is the traditional Google Discover channel (Google Recommendations), which shows a list of articles recommended for the user by Google algorithms.

Google has finally begun rolling out an update to Google TV that brings support for multiple profiles to smart TVs and set-top boxes.

Google TV finally has support for user profiles

Recall that Google TV is not an independent operating system and not renamed Android TV, but an additional shell for Android TV. It debuted on the Chromecast media player in October 2020. Since launch, Google TV users have been complaining about the lack of full support for multiple profiles on the device. The feature was announced in October last year and was scheduled to begin rolling out to devices by the end of the year. However, two months later, Google delayed the launch indefinitely.

Now Google has announced the start of rolling out support for multiple profiles on the same device with Google TV. The feature will not appear instantly for all users, but gradually over the next few weeks.

It will allow you to create a personalized space on one TV for several users with different Google accounts. Each of them can access personalized recommendations, quick access to their watch list, and so on.
