Samsung will continue to use the Snapdragon SoC in its flagships for at least another seven years. The companies extended their cooperation agreement
Qualcomm and Samsung have renewed their partnership agreement for another seven years, until 2030.
The license agreement covers many technologies. These are 3G/4G/5G, and future solutions with 6G, and much more. In addition, the companies agreed to expand cooperation on Snapdragon platforms in the Korean giant’s flagship smartphones, as well as in PCs, tablets and other devices.
We already talked about today that Qualcomm has actually confirmed that the Galaxy S23 line will be based only on the new Snapdragon SoC. At the same time, it is too early to say that Samsung has abandoned its own top Exynos SoCs for the next seven years.
The extension of our license agreement is another testament to our mutual commitment to long-term cooperation. Our relationship with Samsung has never been stronger. We’ve worked together for over two decades to become industry leaders, and we’re excited to continue this strategic partnership to develop innovative technologies and products using Snapdragon platforms to power more premium Samsung devices around the world.
