Samsung Unveils 2TB Samsung 980 Pro Solid State Drives

Until now, Samsung’s ultra-fast PCIe 4.0 drives from the South Korean brand Samsung were only available with up to 1TB of memory. Now the company has introduced a new model – the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB SSD.
It was announced early this year that Samsung is developing a 2TB SSD in addition to its existing 250GB, 500GB and 1TB models.
And only now the company has presented a new model.
980 Pro is one of the fastest solid state drives available today. It not only uses the PCIe Express 4.0 bus, but also offers speeds in excess of 5000 MB / s, which is typical for previous models. It is reported that SSD Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB writes data at speeds up to 5,000 MB / s, reads – up to 7,000 MB / s.
Experts believe that the fastest SSDs are not required to play. For gaming, SATS drives with a write and read speed of about 580 MB / s are suitable.
Now the new model of the SSD Samsung 980 Pto is available only by pre-order at a price of 582 dollars.
