Samsung Releases GameDriver App to Update GPU Drivers on Its Smartphones

The application is intended primarily for gaming smartphones.
This time we will focus on smartphone GPU drivers. Qualcomm and the Snapdragon 865 chipset were the earliest manufacturer to provide ongoing support for smartphone GPUs. After a few months, ARM adopted the experience. And Xiaomi released a first-of-its-kind application that helped keep drivers up to date. A little later, OPPO and Vivo presented their own applications. Now it’s Samsung’s turn.
The application is called rather trite, GameDriver. That being said, the app is only part of Samsung’s Galaxy GameDev initiative. The main task of the program is to support the developer of games for Samsung smartphones. So far, there are two options for the application. One for smartphones based on Snapdragon chipsets, another for smartphones with Exynos chipset. So far, the apps only work on smartphones of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note20 series and only support three games, Call of Duty: Mobile, Black Desert and Fortnite.
