Samsung Patents Smartphone with Hidden Front Camera

Portal Gizchina writes that Samsung plans to release a smartphone with a front camera that will be hidden behind the display. The corresponding application has been filed with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) and has already been approved.
The document describes a gadget with S-Pen stylus support and a hidden front-facing camera. It becomes visible only when it is used – this is achieved by switching screen layers (there are several of them here). The upper part of the display is transparent, under which the second layer is located – there is a dual camera, as well as an LED flash.
When the bottom layer is inactive, the user sees the time, battery status, and so on on the smartphone screen. But when you need to take a selfie, the camera appears. Surely, if such a smartphone is eventually released, Samsung will add flexible and easy adjustment of these parameters.
Unfortunately, at the moment it is impossible to predict when such an unusual device will be on sale. But the idea is interesting.
