Samsung has released a cheaper Galaxy S20 FE for those who do not like the Exynos 990

Samsung Electronics has released a new version of its “fan” smartphone Galaxy S20 FE.

Samsung has been criticized for years for its Exynos SoCs and its “discriminatory” tradition of releasing Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC versions of flagships only in the US and China. Now, just for Qualcomm Snapdragon lovers, the Korean manufacturer has released a new variation of the Galaxy S20 FE not based on the Exynos 990, but using the Snapdragon 865.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE model with Snapdragon 865 is already available in several countries, including Malaysia and Vietnam.

It should be clarified that last year the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE debuted in versions with 4G and 5G. In the first case, it was based on SoC Exynos 990, and in the second – Snapdragon 865. Then the younger version was discontinued. A cheaper version with Snapdragon 865 without 5G support has now become available for those regions where 4G prevails.

In Malaysia, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE with Snapdragon 865 is priced at $ 558 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory. Temporarily, Malaysian retailers are giving a noticeable discount, as a result of which the new product can be purchased for $ 485.

In Vietnam, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE with Snapdragon 865 appeared in an 8/256 GB version at a suggested retail price of $ 672. But there is also a temporary discount available and the new item is available for $ 451.
