Samsung has been able to sell over a million foldable Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 smartphones in South Korea alone, but the availability of new products does not look too rosy at the moment.
According to new South Korean media reports, the company is struggling to “meet strong demand” as many customers have to wait “up to one month” for their orders to be delivered. Additionally, some retailers have stopped accepting orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3.
Some analysts believe that some of the blame lies with the company’s management, which may have been caught off guard by the success of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3. In other words, Samsung was simply not ready to meet the strong demand for these two products from the start, at least not. in South Korea, so it was difficult for her to increase production rates after graduation amid a shortage of semiconductors.
Considering how much more successful the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 have been compared to their predecessors, such a theory does make sense. As a reminder, the company also canceled the Galaxy Note 21 this year and may not release the Galaxy S21 FE.
Samsung has previously released an official video showing the various tests these smartphones are being subjected to.
Samsung trolled the bangs in the iPhone, and will eventually use it in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
Prominent informant Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks, has released the first computer-generated images of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra flagship tablet.
The biggest design innovation of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra should be a bang-shaped cutout. Despite the presence of this element, this tablet, like the recently announced MacBook Pro laptop, does not support 3D facial recognition.
It is worth remembering that after the release of the iPhone X, Samsung released a whole series of black PR videos in which it made fun of the large cutout in the screen, which was very unusual at that time. After a few years, the company doesn’t seem to regard bangs as the same ridiculous element as they once did.
The source adds that only the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will receive such a notch, while the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 + will not have bangs. In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will have a 14.6-inch display, the Galaxy Tab S8 will have an 11-inch display, and the Galaxy Tab S8 + will have a 12.4-inch display.
Steve Hemmerstoffer at the beginning of the year published high-quality renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones, which were later fully confirmed.
Full redesign of iPhone 14: periscope camera and small hole in the screen
According to Mydrivers, LG Innotek is developing a periscope zoom lens for Apple, which is expected to be used in iPhones from 2022 or 2023.
Apple’s rival Samsung pioneered the periscope zoom lens in the Galaxy S20 series launched in January last year. Many other Android-based flagships from Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo and other companies also actively use similar modules.
In the iPhone 13 Pro, despite using new image sensors and larger lenses, the optical zoom is only 3x. The difference with Android flagships remains very, very large.
The addition of a periscope camera should noticeably change the design of the rear panel. And if you consider the rumors of ditching the bangs in favor of a hole for the front camera, then the iPhone 14 may well bring the biggest design update since 2017, when the iPhone X hit the market.
The presentation of the iPhone 14 is expected in September next year.
This is what the Xiaomi 12 Pro might look like. The smartphone was shown on a new render
A Chinese insider has published a render of a new smartphone – according to him, this is how the Xiaomi 12 Pro will look. The device in the picture does not strike attention with design delights – there is still the same embedded front camera and a display bent onto the sides, as a result of which the screen does not have traditional side frames.
This image is generally consistent with rumors that the Xiaomi 12 screen will change slightly compared to the Xiaomi Mi 11: the novelty will simply use the latest generation Samsung AMOLED E5 panel with an embedded front camera – that is, there will be no sub-screen camera. The display will be curved, but it will not bend in all four directions – this decision Xiaomi will refuse.
According to the latest data, Xiaomi 12 will be released in December. The smartphone is credited with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC, a triple camera with 50 MP sensors, a 5000 mAh battery, support for fast charging with a capacity of 120 W (wire) and 50 W (wireless).
