Samsung is going to present a whole series of new products in about a month – at the event on August 11. These include a new smart watch – Galaxy Watch 4, about which detailed information has appeared on the network.

The details and official images were shared by the well-known German resource WinFuture, behind which is the no less famous insider Roland Quandt with a long track record of reliable leaks. This time, the original source of the leak was a page at the online giant Amazon, which was quickly removed from the public domain.

The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic should be the first Samsung watches to feature the new Google Wear OS shell and without Tizen.

The base model Galaxy Watch 4 will be offered in 44mm and 40mm versions with aluminum cases. The larger version has a 1.36-inch display and a 361 mAh battery. In the smaller version, the display has a diagonal of 1.19 inches, and the battery has a capacity of 247 mAh.

The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic in 42 and 46 mm will also be available. In addition to the larger size, the Classic model has another difference – the rotating bezel, which was previously the hallmark of Samsung smartwatches.

All versions will receive a variety of sports modes and corresponding sensors, for example, to determine the heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. In addition to options with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC, there are also options with LTE support.

In terms of price, the cheapest version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will start at just under € 300.

Today, the world’s first smartwatch based on the 4-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 single-chip system, called the Oppo Watch 3 Pro, was presented.

Chinese insider Ice Universe, who leaked a lot of reliable information about different smartphones, posted photos of the Oppo Watch 3 Pro from all sides immediately after the announcement.

The Oppo Watch 3 Pro features a 1.91-inch curved AMOLED LTPO display with Always-on Display (AoD). The watch supports heart rate, SpO2, ECG, eSIM, NFC and offers water resistance (5ATM). The watch runs Oppo ColorOS Watch.

Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is the premium smartwatch in Samsung’s new Wear OS smartwatch lineup. The novelty is not at all like last year’s Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Instead, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro follows the same design cues as the regular Galaxy Watch 4 and doesn’t have a rotating bezel or thicker case.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro with a titanium case, which makes it more durable than the aluminum case of the regular Galaxy Watch 5. In addition, the premium watch has sapphire crystal. In addition, Samsung has changed the curvature of the rear glass and increased its surface area to help the BioActive sensor make better contact with the wrist, resulting in more accurate readings.

Along with improved reliability, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro also brings a number of noteworthy hardware improvements and new features. The watch has a significantly larger battery capacity (60% more than the Galaxy Watch 4) and faster charging.

There’s also a new skin temperature sensor, Advanced Sleep Coaching support, in-depth body composition analysis, real-time post-workout recovery tracking, Google Maps with support for voice navigation, and YouTube Music. Like the regular Galaxy Watch 5, the Pro variant also comes with a host of new watch faces, including two new watch face types with 88 customizable additions.

Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are MIL-STD-810H certified, water and dust resistant (IP68, 5 ATM).

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro comes in a single 45mm variant and comes in two case colors – Titanium Black and Titanium Grey. Alongside these two models, Samsung will offer a special variant of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Golf Edition.

Unlike the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro comes in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm. Although both models offer the same feature set, they differ in display, battery capacity and color scheme.

Galaxy Watch 5 Pro highlights include 1.4″ AMOLED display, 450 x 450 pixel resolution, Exynos W920 SoC, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB storage, 590mAh battery, Sp02, ECG, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), GPS, NFC and LTE (optional).

The 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 features a 410mAh battery, while the 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 has a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 396 x 396 pixels and a 284mAh battery.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will go on sale from August 26th. They will be available in Bluetooth and LTE variants, priced at $449.99 and $499.99 respectively. Together with the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro smartwatches, Oppo today introduced an inexpensive Band 2 fitness bracelet. The novelty is a direct competitor to the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 presented a couple of months ago. Oppo Band 2 also has two versions – the usual one with NFC. Prices are $35 and $40 respectively.

Oppo Band 2 received a 1.57-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 402 x 256 pixels. It is characterized by a brightness of 500 cd/sq.m. and supports about 200 themes. The weight of the bracelet itself is 20 grams, together with the strap – 33 grams.
