Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the first smartphone with telephoto sensor shift technology
According to GalaxyClub, Samsung has filed a patent application with the World Intellectual Property Organization for a new telephoto lens with sensor shift technology. The technology is expected to be used for the first time in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The patent describes a camera module including a lens, an image stabilization unit, and a movable member including an image sensor electrically coupled to the substrate. In this case, the image stabilization unit is connected to the lens. The image stabilization unit may be configured to move the movable element in at least one direction perpendicular to the optical axis, so that the optical axis is aligned with the predetermined position of the image sensor.
Apple first introduced sensor-shift image stabilization technology to the wide-angle module of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The camera of this smartphone uses sensor shift to achieve better image stabilization and better photo quality.
In the iPhone 14 Pro/Max, Apple installed a 48-megapixel camera. However, some users experienced camera shake issues, which Apple fixed in iOS 16.0.2. Also, the iPhone 14 Pro/Max telephoto lens does not support this technology.
As previously reported, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra may be the first smartphone to feature telephoto sensor shift technology. The main camera should have a resolution of 200 megapixels.

This will be the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The first images of the smartphone have been published
For the first time, images of Xiaomi 14 Pro have been published on the Internet – the device is posed “wrapped” in cases, from which it becomes clear that the pictures were leaked by the accessory manufacturer.
Xiaomi 14 Pro demonstrates the evolution of the design of the current Xiaomi 13 Pro: the camera protrusion is almost the same, there are also three modules (the fourth is depicted as a camera module, but it will house a flash.
Xiaomi 14 Pro will receive SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a titanium frame. It is also credited with an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches and a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, a 5000 mAh battery with 120 W charging.
There is scattered data about the camera: some sources say that the device will have a 200-megapixel sensor as the main one, others attribute to it the same inch Sony IMX989 sensor as the Xiaomi 13 Pro. At the same time, everyone agrees that the remaining two sensors will be 50-megapixel.

Alternative browser Vivaldi “takes a bite from the apple”: version for iPhone and iPad presented

The team of the increasingly popular Vivaldi browser announced the release of a stable version for the Apple mobile platform. The beta version of Vivaldi for iOS has been tested for several months.
As the developers promise, Vivaldi for iOS has its own unique look thanks to a set of built-in tools, including tabs, Express Panel, control panels, notes, reading list, and a tracking and ad blocker. The synchronization function between devices is also supported – bookmarks, Express panel, passwords, form data, history of entered addresses and notes are synchronized using end-to-end encryption.
You can store all your important links in the Express Dashboard for quick access. The tab bar is designed to look like tabs on a PC for quick switching. The tab switcher gives you access to public, private, synced, and recently closed tabs.
Built-in Notes let you quickly jot down interesting information. You can copy data from the site through the context menu. Users also have access to a “Reading List” in which they can save web pages for later viewing.
The built-in tracking and ad blocker can be configured for individual sites. To increase privacy, there is a private tabs mode in which search queries, visited sites, cookies and temporary files will not be saved by the browser. Other features include easily changing the search engine, choosing an application icon from a variety of options, an interface for large iPad screens, and so on.

The regular iPhone 15 turned out to be stronger than the vaunted titanium iPhone 15 Pro Max. At least JerryRigEverything’s junior model passed the bending test

A few days ago, the iPhone 15 Pro Max unexpectedly failed a durability test from the famous blogger JerryRigEverything. Now it’s the turn to try out the new generation of junior iPhones.
If we get straight to the point, both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus passed the bending test without any problems, like many generations of Apple smartphones before. For the iPhone 15 Pro Max, we recall that when force was applied, the back glass burst, which may be due to the greater strength of the titanium frame.
At the same time, the iPhone 15, like the older model, received the same unusually hard protective glass on the front. The material, with a hardness rating of 6 on the Mohs scale, leaves virtually no marks on it, something no other mainstream smartphone can offer, and it is not yet known how Apple achieved this.
