Once again, Samsung’s new flagship failed to top the DxOMark rankings for photos and videos. The smartphone camera was rated at 140 points, which corresponds to tenth place.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra takes photos and shoots video worse than half the price of Pixel 7. The novelty was evaluated in the DxOMark laboratory

In fact, of course, this is an excellent result, since giants such as the Google Pixel 7 and Vivo X90 Pro + are located on the same tenth. In addition, if smartphones with the same result are considered as located in the same place, then the Galaxy S23 Ultra, together with the mentioned devices, takes sixth place.

For the photo, the new Samsung received 139 points, and for the video – 137 points. By the way, the same Pixel 7, as you know, is devoid of a TV camera, but at the same time received the same overall score. This is because the source’s experts rated its photo and video at 145 and 143 points, respectively, but as expected, this smartphone is much inferior to the Samsung flagship in terms of zoom shooting capabilities (106 points versus 141). And here it is worth remembering that the Pixel 7 costs half as much as the new Samsung, and now it sells for $500.

There is no need to talk about any significant disadvantages of the Galaxy S23 Ultra with this result. You can only remember that the Galaxy S22 Ultra once scored 135 points from DxOMark.

The 10 speed automatic transmission turned out to be not so

Toyota has announced a large recall in the United States: the campaign covers 280,000 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid SUVs, 2023-2024 Sequoia and 2022-2024 Lexus LX 600 SUVs. The problem is with the Aisin AW 10-speed automatic transmission: due to a defect, torque can be transmitted to the wheels if the selector is in position N (neutral). That is, the gear does not turn off immediately after moving the lever to position N.

Toyota said that in cases where this occurs, “the vehicle may unintentionally move forward at low speeds.” However, the company notes that this only happens when the car is “on a level surface and the brakes are not applied.” However, there is a risk of an accident or collision with a person, so a recall has been announced, as part of which the gearbox software will be updated.
