Reviewers of the YouTube channel PhoneBuff tested the ability of the most advanced iPhone 11 Pro Max and its “galactic” competitor Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to survive after falling to concrete from various heights. The bloggers captured the testing process on video.
When falling to a corner, the smartphones “played a draw” – the home-grown testers did not find critical damage to either one or the other.
In the remaining testing segments, an unconditional and final victory was celebrated by the apparatus of the South Korean company. We are talking about such comparison parameters as a single fall on concrete with the back and front side, as well as a 10-fold fall from a 2-meter height at the final stage of testing.
After so many tosses, the Note 20 Ultra’s glass remained almost intact, while the 11 Pro Max shattered to smithereens. At the same time, the screens of both devices remained functional. After all these falls, the camera of the iPhone was out of order, while the camera of the brainchild of Samsung was able to continue to fulfill the mission entrusted to it.
Bloggers tied the invulnerability of the Note 20 Ultra screen to the reinforced Gorilla Glass Victus (currently used exclusively on Samsung’s flagship models).
The final test result is 30 points out of 40 possible for the 11 Pro Max and 39 for the Note 20 Ultra.
