What is the Exynos 1380 capable of? Alas, not much can be expected from her. 776 points in a single-threaded test and 2599 in a multi-threaded test – this is the level of a well-deserved Snapdragon 778G. Moreover, the multi-threaded performance of the Snapdragon 778G is better. In general, not only the top Samsung SoCs have poor performance.

As for the phone itself, it also received 6 GB of RAM (for sure there will be an option with 8 GB) and pre-installed Android 13. Recall that Galaxy A54 renders were previously shown on the network – according to preliminary data, the phone will be very similar to the flagship Galaxy S23.

Bitcoin soared to the equivalent of 38000 in Nigeria

The price of one bitcoin (BTC) in Nigeria soared to the equivalent of $38,000 in the local currency, naira. This is significantly higher than the price of bitcoin on the world market, which is about $23,000.

At the time of writing, on the Nigerian crypto exchange NairaEX for 1 bitcoin they give 17.4 million naira, which corresponds to 37.8 thousand dollars. The peak value was 38.8 thousand dollars.

This is due to the fact that the Central Bank of Nigeria continues to impose restrictions on cash withdrawals from ATMs in order to reduce the share of cash in money circulation.

Bitcoin soared to the equivalent of $38,000 in Nigeria

In January, new rules were introduced that allowed Nigerians to withdraw no more than 20,000 naira (about $43.50) from ATMs per day, with a weekly limit of 100,000 naira (about $217).

The move was also taken just days before the new naira notes entered circulation in an effort to curb inflation and money laundering. The central bank has set a January 24 deadline for Nigerians to exchange their old higher denomination banknotes for the new currency.

However, long queues and complaints forced the Central Bank to extend Nigeria’s deadline until Feb. 10.

Free and open source graphics editor: the mythical GIMP 3.0 will be released before the end of 2023, officially

GIMP 3.0 will have a redesigned user interface, a migration from GTK2 to GTK, and many other changes.

Until the end of 2023, the release of stable versions, or at least the first release candidates, is expected. True, in the report, the developer Jean Pages also left himself room for maneuver:

Here. I said it. If it doesn’t, remember that it wasn’t a promise.

He also explained:

There’s still a lot to be done, so I hope I’m not making a fool of myself. But at some point, the impossibility of the release is simply disappointing. Of course, we’re still within acceptable development time limits (GIMP 2.8-2.10 took 6 years, we’re still in our fifth year after 2.10), but I really want to get it over with.
