Samsung cheated by renaming the 5nm process technology to 4nm: the company will produce Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2200 on it

According to the latest leaks, Samsung’s next-generation flagship SoC with AMD RDNA2 graphics will be called Exynos 2200, and the top-end SoC will be called Snapdragon 895 with model number SM8450. Both will be produced by the South Korean company Samsung.

Earlier it was reported that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is fighting with Samsung for the right to produce single-chip Snapdragon 895 systems, but now it has become known that the South Korean company has become the winner in this confrontation.

It is reported that the Snapdragon 895 and Exynos 2200 will be manufactured using a 4nm process technology, while the Apple A14 Bionic uses a 5nm process technology. However, it is not so simple here: the source claims that Samsung simply renamed the third generation 5nm process (5LPA) to the first generation 4nm process (4LPE). Therefore, there will be practically no difference in performance.

According to rumors, the Snapdragon 895 will receive the Kryo 780 computing cores based on the Cortex-v9 architecture. We are talking about customized cores Cortex-X2 and Cortex-A710. The video accelerator Adreno 730 will be responsible for graphics processing. The new platform should be presented in December.

The Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra is expected to be the first Snapdragon 895 smartphone.

The Briton was jailed for spying on his ex To

In the UK, there was a curious case – 41-year-old Christopher Paul Trotman used an AirTag tag from Apple to track his ex-girlfriend. He glued the device to the rear bumper of the car and for some time tracked the location of the vehicle. And then he wrote the girl a message and revealed the fact of surveillance of her. As a result, he was detained, he is now in prison awaiting trial. Most likely, after the hearings, he will be released, but he will be banned from approaching the former at the level of a court decision.

The Briton was jailed for spying on his ex. To do this, he used the AirTag tag.

As noted, the victim uses an iPhone, and she received a notification that an unknown AirTag was located next to her, but the girl ignored the information because she simply did not know about such a possibility in iOS.

Note that the latest improvements to AirTag include anti-stalking features. First, iPhone users will be automatically alerted if an unknown AirTag moves near them (which it did). Secondly, the tag will make a sound if it is far from the owner for a long time.

Initially, the tags only worked with the iPhone, but later the company released Android, which allows their phone owners to search for AirTag.

We previously reported on how to properly use the AirTag to get the most out of it.
