The Steam Deck console will be available in large volumes soon.

Valve has published a message that it is increasing the production of the console, more than doubling it!

It is unclear whether this will be enough to meet demand, since the company initially accepted a lot of orders for the console, and now it is very false to buy it. But such a significant increase in production volumes should have a positive impact on the availability and prices from resellers.

The company also announced that it has just completed deliveries of set-top boxes that were booked in the second quarter, and will begin accepting pre-orders for the third on June 30th. However, delivery on the site is still indicated no earlier than October.

At first there were rumors about this, then AMD officially confirmed everything: the powerful AMD Threadripper 5000WX processors will go on sale and become available to everyone. As it turned out, the CPU is already available in China.

The official start of sales is in July, at the same time the recommended retail prices will be announced. In the meantime, sellers are asking for Threadripper 5000WX much more than what they asked for their predecessors. Thus, the 64-core Threadripper 5995WX is offered for $7,030, while the official cost of the Threadripper 3995WX is $5,850. The 32-core Threadripper 5975WX is priced at $3,590, while its predecessor, the Threadripper 3975WX, is officially listed at $2,750. The Threadripper 5965WX is also available in China for the equivalent of $2,570.

The 16-core 5955WX and the 12-core 5945WX were left behind. Maybe they won’t go to retail at all.

Taiwanese company TSMC will increase the average prices of its services from the beginning of 2023. As expected, from January 2023 they will grow by 6%, although it all depends on specific lithographic technologies. Some of them will rise in price more, some less.

At the moment, the reasons for the rise in price are not reported. However, it is possible that this was influenced by the expected increase in electricity prices. According to Bloomberg, about 22,000 industrial enterprises will buy electricity at a 15% higher price. This will lead to an increase in the cost of the final product.
