Ricoh spoke about the Theta X camera, which is scheduled for release in March 2022. This is the first panoramic camera with a 2.25-inch touch screen, replaceable battery and micro-SD card slot.

Unlike previous Ricoh Theta cameras that relied heavily on a smartphone or tablet to manage, share and edit footage, Theta X takes a more versatile approach. This is facilitated by the presence of a color touch screen, which is used both for navigating through the camera’s menus and for composing shots. While this screen is much smaller than mobile device displays, it allows you to get things done on the go without worrying about pairing Theta X with your smartphone or tablet.

The replaceable battery and memory card slot mean that if you have extra batteries and cards, you can shoot for as long as you want without having to recharge your device. Previous Theta models had only built-in batteries and flash memory, which greatly limited their capabilities.

Among the less significant improvements, the following can be noted: the need to enter the SSID when connecting a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth has been eliminated.

The Theta X features new 48MP CMOS image sensors, an upgraded processor and an improved lens. When shooting photos with a 360° field of view, Theta X allows you to shoot at a resolution of 60 megapixels. In terms of video, Theta X shoots 5.7K (5760 x 2880 pixels) video at up to 30 fps with “improved image stabilization”. Other features include a GPS receiver and a USB-C port for charging without having to change batteries.

The Ricoh Theta X is expected to go on sale in March 2022 for $799. In addition to the camera, the kit will include a USB cable, a soft case and a battery.

Meanwhile, the web already has a preliminary list of characteristics of Redmi Note 12S. The device is credited with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a frame rate of 90 Hz, a MediaTek Helio G96 platform (the same as Redmi Note 11S), up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, a 5000 mAh battery with power charging support 67 W. The device will be running MIUI 14.

The child seat is constructed with a carbon fiber frame and military-grade energy-absorbing technology that sets it apart from virtually all other child seats on the market. It also includes the SafeCoil steel-based cushioning system that gently slows the seat forward during an accident. An advanced side impact protection system has also been implemented.

Another addition to the safety of the child seat is a set of 14 sensors in the base that constantly monitor a wide range of parameters, such as whether the seat is correctly installed, and can also tell the owner if the child is properly secured. The maximum frequencies of single-chip systems for smartphones have not changed for many years. But the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC could be very different from anything that came before. According to MyDrivers, Qualcomm’s new platform’s super-core frequency could reach an impressive 3.72 GHz!

For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is 3.2 GHz, while the version for Galaxy has a frequency increased to 3.36 GHz. That is, there will be an increase of 16% relative to the regular version. And in general, this is a very high value for mobile SoCs based on the Arm architecture.

According to leaks, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will have a configuration of 1 + 5 + 2, that is, there will be only two energy-efficient cores. This should greatly improve performance even without taking into account frequencies, but how voracious such a platform will be is an open question.

The network already has the result of the new SoC in Geekbench, where the platform scores 1930 and 6236 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively, but this is so much that for now it is worth treating this result with caution.
