Results of testing video cards Radeon RX 6900 XT and RX 6800 XT in Ashes of the Cingularity were identical
The Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card based on AMD RDNA 2 architecture is due out on December 8th. In the meantime, @TUM_APISAK has posted the results of the first gaming tests of this video card online.
For testing, the author of the test chose the game Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation.
The Radeon RX 6900 graphics card scored one frame per second less than the theoretically more powerful RX 6800 XT model with 102 frames per second and 10100 points. NVIDIA’s best RTX 3090 graphics card was able to deliver 104 frames per second and score 10,400 points at the same 1080p resolution and with the same Intel Core i7-8700K processor.
The authors of the resource Tomshardware ask themselves: is the RX 6900 XT really just a copy of the RX 6800 XT? Until the video card has entered the market, this kind of testing should be treated with a little bit of mistrust. And right there it is worth noting that a slight difference between these models is visible not only in the test results, but also on paper. The RX 6900 XT has 10% more shader cores, but that’s probably all. Everything else: TDP, frequency, memory – are identical.

The mid-range Cortex-A715 processor core is comparable to the Cortex-X1 supercore from two years ago. Arm also updated the Cortex-A510

In addition to the new Cortex-X3 supercore, Arm also introduced the Cortex-A715 processor core, which, judging by all its predecessors, will be much more common than the X3.
When compared to the Cortex-A710, Arm claims a 20% power efficiency advantage for the same performance, or a 5% performance improvement for the same power consumption. That is, the emphasis here is on energy efficiency. In addition, the company says the Cortex-A715 is comparable in performance to the Cortex-X1 super-core from two years ago.
No successor has yet been released for the Cortex-A510, but Arm has improved this core, maintaining performance while reducing power consumption by 5%.

Nvidia released the $150 GeForce GTX 1630, and it’s weaker than the $140 GTX 1050 Ti six years ago. There are great reviews of new items

Nvidia has introduced the GeForce GTX 1630, which can be called a severely stripped-down version of the GTX 1650. What is a card so primitive by modern standards capable of? Large reviews have already appeared on the Web, and we will take the TechPowerUp material as a basis.
As you can see, in Full HD, and at higher resolutions, such a card does not make sense, the GTX 1630 is very far behind even the Radeon RX 6400. The junior AMD adapter is ahead by almost 60%, and this is an abyss.
If you look at the average performance in games, we are talking about only 24 fps, that is, on average, the new product is not able to provide proper performance in modern games at maximum settings. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the list of source adapters that even roughly matches the GTX 1630. But if you look at older reviews, you can find that the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti at one time lagged behind the GTX 1650 not as much as the GTX 1630 lagged behind That is, the new Nvidia is even a little weaker than the GTX 1050 Ti. Actually, tests from other sources confirm this.
And here it would be useful to remember that the GTX 1050 Ti was introduced in 2016 and was priced at that time at $140. And the GTX 1630 costs $150. That is, Nvidia in 2022 released a video card of about the same level and at about the same price as six years ago.
Of the rest, only power consumption can be noted. In games, the adapter requires only about 50 watts, and the maximum that we managed to achieve from the card is 71 watts.

$7,000 for 64 cores up to 4.5GHz. AMD Threadripper 5000WX processors launched in China

At first there were rumors about this, then AMD officially confirmed everything: the powerful AMD Threadripper 5000WX processors will go on sale and become available to everyone. As it turned out, the CPU is already available in China.
The official start of sales is in July, at the same time the recommended retail prices will be announced. In the meantime, sellers are asking for Threadripper 5000WX much more than what they asked for their predecessors. Thus, the 64-core Threadripper 5995WX is offered for $7,030, while the official cost of the Threadripper 3995WX is $5,850. The 32-core Threadripper 5975WX is priced at $3,590, while its predecessor, the Threadripper 3975WX, is officially listed at $2,750. The Threadripper 5965WX is also available in China for the equivalent of $2,570.
The 16-core 5955WX and the 12-core 5945WX were left behind. Maybe they won’t go to retail at all.
