Optoma has unveiled the new UHZ50 Smart 4K UHD projector designed for home entertainment and games. It supports 4K output at 60fps and 1080p at 240Hz with a 4ms response time. This model is ideal for gamers.

This laser projector supports HDR10 and HLG, has a contrast ratio of 2,500,000: 1, a brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens, and a manufacturer’s guaranteed runtime of 30,000 hours. It received two USB ports for connecting multimedia devices, two HDMI 2.0 ports (including the eARC version), and HDCP 2.2 support.

Most buyers will likely use a soundbar or other higher end audio devices, however they should be aware that the UHZ50 Smart 4K UHD includes two built-in 10W speakers. In addition, Optoma claims that its projector is rated for silent operation at 26dB.

The projector is equipped with vertical lens shift, 1.3x zoom and 4-angle correction to make it easy to set up and ensure that the projected image is displayed correctly. Optoma promises “exceptional color accuracy”.

The native aspect ratio is 16: 9, while it maintains a 4: 3 aspect ratio. The diagonal of the projected image is between 34.1 inches and 302.4 inches. There is 3D support. The projector has a built-in media player, access to essential video streaming applications, and support for voice control.

Unfortunately, this model cannot be called available to a wide audience, since the price is 2800 dollars.

Compiled a rating of all devices on Apple Silicon and

The other day, new Apple PCs based on the SoC M2 went on sale. The source decided to compare all the current computers of the company on different platforms of the Apple Silicon family, and at the same time add new iPads and several generations of iPhone to the comparison.

The comparison here is based on Geekbench data, which is not as interesting as using any applications for real tasks, but still it is very interesting to look at the rating in this form.

This rating is generally quite predictable, but for some the results may be quite unexpected. For example, in one of the tests, the iPad Pro on the M1 turns out to be faster than full-fledged Macs on the SoC M1 cut down on the GPU. Since this is a graphics performance test, it actually makes sense.

It will also be useful to clearly see how the M2 in the processor test is not very far behind the M1 Pro with an eight-core CPU.

But the gap between any of the M1 versions and the A15 Bionic is always very large, which is explained not only by the difference in configuration, but also by completely different power limits.

Ordinary bicycle arithmetic 05 x 2 1 wheel American

An American engineer-inventor, credited on YouTube as “The Q” (possibly a reference to the James Bond character who led the Q department and supplied “Agent 007” with useful spy stuff) posted a video in which he showed the creation of a “math bicycle “. According to legend, the author broke a wheel during another bike ride, and at that moment he came up with the idea of creating a bicycle with two halves of wheels instead of one whole. Actually, the formula according to which the construction was carried out is included in the title of the video: 0.5 x 2 = 1 wheel.

I must say, the “math wheel” looks both unusual and spectacular at the same time. Judging by the video, it is quite possible to ride it, and not only on a flat road. Instead of a chamber in the halves of the rear wheel, a polyethylene pipe is used, attached to the rim with rivets – it certainly will not work.

The video is already being actively discussed on the Web – and even more: the “math bike” has become a meme. Its image is used by programmers and engineers to denote spectacular, but generally meaningless things and solutions.
