Redmi sold 3.3 million Redmi K40 smartphones in one batch

As it became known, China Mobile, the largest Chinese operator, has acquired 3.3 million mobile phones from Xiaomi. We are talking about smartphones Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro +.

According to official figures, initial sales of Redmi K40 smartphones exceeded 300,000 units, but this result pales in comparison with the purchase made by China Mobile.

After the appearance of this information, some users on Weibo comically noted that it is now clear why smartphones of this line are almost impossible to buy. However, there may be a large grain of truth in this joke.

Earlier, Lu Weibing, who is the president of Xiaomi Group China and the CEO of Redmi, explained on his Weibo page his version of why the Redmi K40 series smartphones are so difficult to buy. According to him, in the face of a shortage of components, Redmi leaves the price at a very low level, which provokes an increase in demand, which is difficult to satisfy.

In the morning, sources published the first official images of the new Poco F3 smartphone, which is a copy of the Redmi K40 for different countries of the world.

Sony has also removed the charger from the Xperia smartphone box. The first was the Sony Xperia 10 III

The last company to remove the charger from the smartphone box was Sony. So far, the new strategy applies only to the Sony Xperia 10 III.

Sony Germany has announced that the Xperia 10 III will be offered without a charger in some retailers at an MSRP of € 10. Through other channels, however, the phone will still ship with a charger at the regular price.

On the part of Sony, a pleasant step was a slight decrease in the price of a smartphone without a charger in the kit. Sony does not explain the reasons for the rejection of the charger, but other companies usually tie this decision to concern for the environment.

It will be interesting to see which other countries as well as models will be covered by this Sony policy in the future.

Xiaomi is actively promoting the upcoming Redmi Note 11 series of smartphones with several teasers. This device will be the first Redmi Note smartphone with an AMOLED display.

Redmi has admitted that not all fans are happy with the AMOLED display in this device. In this regard, the general manager of Redmi Lu Weibing posted a post on the social network Weibo in which he recommended an alternative device for those who do not like the AMOLED screen. Lu Weibing recommends that they get the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which is still a fairly current device.

According to Lu Weibing, developing a smartphone is a “difficult task.” No matter which solution you use, there is a group of people who think you could do better: “If you like the LCD display, you can choose our Note10Pro, which also has durable Victus Gorilla glass.”

The Redmi Note 11 Pro will feature colors like Mysterious Blackland, Shallow Dream Galaxy, Time Quiet Purple and Misty Forest. The Note 11 Pro + will offer all the same colors except for the Shallow Dream Galaxy. The Redmi Note 11 5G will have a 120Hz LCD screen, a 13MP selfie camera, a 50MP rear camera, a Dimensity 810 and a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Note 11 Pro + 5G will offer a 120Hz OLED screen, 16MP front and 108MP main cameras, Dimensity 920 and 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charge

Redmi will hold a press conference for the announcement of this smartphone on October 28th.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s tiny screen bezels confirmed: first photos of protective glass published

The authoritative insider Ice Universe has published the first photos of the protective glass of the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is due to be presented early next year.

The photos show that the phone will have very narrow bezels at the top and bottom. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with curved edges. The front camera will be 40 megapixel. In addition to the 108MP main camera, there will be an ultra wide-angle 12MP camera and two 12MP telephoto cameras with 3x and 10x optical zoom. The ultra-wide-angle camera will be equipped with optical image stabilization for the first time.

The smartphone should get a compartment for storing the S Pen stylus, which can be inserted into the smartphone through the lower left corner, just like in the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. While the current S21 Ultra is also S Pen compatible, the smartphone doesn’t have room for a stylus, so you’ll need to buy a matching case for it. To add room for the stylus, Samsung will have to reshape the case and move away from the rounded corners that are so characteristic of the Galaxy S series, so the new model will have a lot more resemblance to the more rectangular Note line.
