The Chinese electronics company Xiaomi, which currently leads the Indian smartphone market, is gearing up to launch the region’s first 120W fast charging smartphone.
According to Mysmartprice, this smartphone could be either the recently launched Xiaomi 11T Pro or the more recent Redmi Note 11 Pro +. It is also reported that the Redmi Note 11 Pro + may be rebranded as the Redmi Note 11i Hypercharge in India.
The Redmi Note 11i HyperCharge is expected to be released in December. It will be the second device in the Redmi Note 11 series launched in India. The Chinese Redmi Note 11 5G was introduced to the Indian market yesterday under the name Redmi Note 11T. It offers great performance at an affordable price.
The Redmi Note 11i HyperCharge is expected to feature a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED screen with a 120Hz frame rate and a 360Hz touch layer polling rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 tempered glass.
The smartphone is built on the basis of a single-chip Dimensity 920 system, it received LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash memory. There’s also a 108MP camera, JBL stereo speakers, a standard wired headphone jack, a side fingerprint reader, an IR emitter, NFC and Wi-Fi 6 modules.
iPhone 13 and 13 Pro Max became the best-selling phones in the world
Analyst Francisco Geronimo of IDC reports that Apple’s iPhone 13 was the world’s best-selling smartphone in the first quarter of this year despite major supply issues.
IDC does not disclose the total number of devices sold, as well as the market share of phones. The company recalls that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 were the top-selling phones of 2021 and 2020, respectively, so the iPhone 13 was expected to perform similarly. The iPhone 13 retails for $800 in the US, offering an Apple A15 Bionic SoC, a dual camera setup, a 6.1-inch notched display, and iOS 15.
The 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max took second place in the first quarter of 2022, indicating that people are more than willing to pay more for a bigger screen, better camera, and longer battery life.
The 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro took a respectable fourth place, while the tiny 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini failed to make the top five. The latter further explains the rumors about Apple’s decision to phase out the iPhone mini. Combined, the iPhone 13 family accounts for 84% of total iPhone revenue in the first three months of 2022. The rest of the revenue comes from the iPhone SE (2022) and older iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 models. Analysts believe that the iPhone 14 could be even more successful.
Two 6.1-inch iPhones from Apple made the top five last quarter. But perhaps more important is the fact that the 6.7-inch Apple Pro model is outselling the 6.1-inch version. So the next generation 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max could be an extremely profitable model for Apple. It will offer everything consumers love about Apple’s regular bestseller, but in a larger form factor that will be much more affordable than the Pro line.
The entry-level Samsung Galaxy A12 ranked third in the first quarter, while the mid-range Galaxy A32 ranked fifth.
Redmi Note 11T Pro+ will get the best 144Hz flat screen. Together with the smartphone will present Ryzen Edition Redmi Book Pro 2022
Lu Weibong, President of Xiaomi Group China and CEO of Redmi, posted new teasers of the upcoming presentation on his Weibo social network page.
The first teaser is dedicated to the Redmi Note 11T Pro + smartphone, which is equipped with a flagship flat LCD screen with a ratio of 20.5: 9 and support for an adaptive refresh rate (7 values) of the image up to 144 Hz. Also, the screen provides reliable eye protection and supports Dolby Vision.
Lu Weibing said that Redmi Note 11T Pro + will be equipped with the best display in its class, and we tend to believe him, because this has happened before in the Redmi line.
Redmi Note 11T Pro+ is also confirmed to be equipped with fast LPDDR5 RAM and improved heat dissipation technology.
The presentation of the novelty will take place on May 24, along with the smartphone, the Ryzen Edition Redmi Book Pro 2022 laptop will be shown, the teaser of which was also published by Lu Weibing.
Redmi Note 11T became available for pre-order in China even before the presentation.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 will be more powerful than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The clamshell will indeed get a new Qualcomm platform
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 smartphone will indeed be potentially more productive than the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Geekbench software confirms that the company’s new clamshell phone will feature a yet-to-be-revealed Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC, which should be announced tomorrow.
Of course, the potential of the new platform may be limited by the cooling system or settings, but in the benchmark, the smartphone scores 1277 and 3642 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively. Also, the test device had 8 GB of RAM and was running Android 12.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 will be a very important smartphone for the company. Firstly, because foldable devices are becoming more popular, and Samsung is the leader in this market, and secondly, because Flip4 will account for 70% of the production of the company’s foldable flagships.
