Red Dead Redemption Remaster Rumors Denied by Kotaku Editor – No Ray Tracing and Next-Gen Graphics

Earlier we wrote that Rockstar Games may be preparing a collection of Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection, which should include a remaster of the first RDR and an improved version of RDR 2 for the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X. Alas, it turned out to be just fake. The editor of the popular edition Kotaku denied the rumors.

According to Zack Zwiezen, the art was created by a non-professional internet user in Photoshop.

The author of the fake simply found high-quality images of Arthur Morgan and John Marston on google in png format. Then he cropped them, changed colors, and overlaid PS5 and Xbox Series S / X game covers.

The overlaid gradient paint art is visible if you zoom in on the image. The same goes for the sun against the background of the heroes.

In addition, on the fake product page, the return date is indicated earlier than the release date itself.

Thus, counting on Red Dead Redemption with ray tracing and next-generation graphics is clearly not worth it. If a remaster does appear, it will most likely be much simpler – with tighter textures and a higher resolution.
