Xiaomi today officially unveiled its flagship Redmi K60 Pro, which immediately became one of the fastest phones in the world.
Redmi K60 is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 single-chip platform and equipped with a large cooling system with a 5000 mm vapor chamber2 – it is about one and a half times larger than the evaporation chamber of Xiaomi 13. Good cooling allowed the phone to set an AnTuTu performance record – 1.35 million points. The SoC is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash.
Most of Liu Weibing’s speech focused on the Redmi K60 Pro’s gaming performance and heat. Formally, Redmi K60 Pro is not a gaming smartphone, but in fact it is more than suitable for this role. Unless there are no additional buttons, as in Red Magic or Black Shark phones.
Redmi K60 Pro received a 2K AMOLED screen with a pixel density of 526 per inch, 12-bit color representation and a maximum brightness of 1400 cd / sq.m. The PWM control frequency is 1920 Hz.
The Redmi K60 Pro camera has become much better than its predecessor. The main Sony IMX800 sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels is quite large: the optical format is 1/1.49 inches.
There is optical image stabilization (it works in conjunction with electronic), and the phone also received support for CyberFocus 2.0 technology. It is interesting that the data on other camera modules remained behind the scenes of the official presentation (they have sensors with a resolution of 8 and 2 megapixels), but examples of photos taken by the main camera are shown.
Redmi K60 Pro received a 5000 mAh battery with support for 120 W wired charging (full charge of the phone in 19 minutes). For the first time in the flagship Redmi, wireless charging is implemented, and its power is 30 watts.
Also in the configuration of Redmi K60 Pro NFC, stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.3. The phone has three colors: black, blue and white. There is also a special variant, which in China is called Redmi K60 Pro Champion Edition.
Redmi K60 Pro has five versions: 8/128GB $475, 8/256GB $515, 12/256GB $560, 12/512GB $620, 16/512GB $660. Retail sales start December 31st.
The Chinese resource ITHome announced when phones of the once flagship Xiaomi Mi 10 line will receive MIUI 14. This will happen in April this year. Moreover, the update will be based on Android 13, not Android 13.
The firmware will be released for Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 Lite. It is also noted that recently Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Xiaomi 11 Lite and Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE received the latest version of MIUI 13.
Xiaomi previously officially confirmed that the devices of the Mi 10 line will receive MIUI 14. But the date or at least the approximate date for the release of the firmware was not indicated. It should be noted that in April MIUI 14 will be released for Xiaomi Mi 10 in China, but in other regions it will obviously appear later.

Third-party company NTDEV has unveiled a modification of Windows 11 called Tiny11. This is a light version of Windows 11 Pro 22H2, from which everything superfluous was removed, including the Microsoft Edge browser. At the same time, it left a calculator, notepad, Paint, terminal, Microsoft Store and features for people with disabilities.

The main feature of the assembly is reduced system requirements. If the regular Windows 11 Pro 22H2 requires 4 GB of RAM and at least 24 GB of disk space (official requirements say 64 GB), then the lite version is 2 GB and 8 GB, respectively. That is, it will work fine even on relatively weak PCs and laptops.
At the same time, the developers of the modification stated that this is not a hacked version, for activation you need to buy a license key from Microsoft or official partners. You can download the assembly here.
Microsoft has not yet responded to such experiments, so it is unclear whether they will prohibit such modifications.
Earlier it was reported that the company began to “spam” ads for Windows 11, displaying it in full screen, and it is difficult to refuse the installation.
