The reasons for this decision by Realme are still unknown. If such a device came out, it would be the first smartphone in the Realme range, where the main focus would be on the camera. Recall that initially the smartphone was credited with two 50-megapixel sensors for the main camera and ultra-wide, as well as an eight-megapixel telephoto lens. In addition, the device was supposed to receive a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 125-watt charging.

Initially, an OnLeaks insider spoke about the smartphone, sharing renders. The design of the smartphone resembled the Google Nexus 6P, thanks to which the device attracted a lot of attention. Later, the existence of such a smartphone was confirmed by Realme itself, but now, as we see, the project has been abandoned.

OneLeaks publishes several dozen renders of smartphones a year, and it’s extremely rare that something doesn’t add up. In particular, he shared renderings of OnePlus 10 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A33 and others.

For example, Sharp’s share grew from 8% to 11%, and even Sony increased its share from 5% to 6%. But the most interesting thing is the Pixel.

In the first quarter, when Pixels held 9% of the market, Japan was the largest market for these smartphones in the world, meaning Pixels were more readily purchased than in the United States. Now the share has grown even more.

There are no exact data, but judging by the chart, Google is now in second place in the Japanese market.
