This is what the “King of Tablets” looks like. Realme Pad X 5G has already appeared on the website of the Chinese online store

“King of Tablets” will be presented on May 26. Realme hasn’t released any details yet, but the Pad X 5G model has already appeared on JD.com.
There isn’t much information out there yet. We are talking about a screen with a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels, 64-128 GB of flash memory and 4-6 GB of RAM. The tablet will be available in three colors, with one of the colors taken from smartphones in the GT line. You can also see the stylus in the image.
Given the design and resolution, we can definitely say that this will not be just a slightly modified Realme Pad. Recall that the tablet was credited with Snapdragon 870, and some version with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 may also come out.
The price is a plug of 9999 yuan, so there is no point in talking about it.

Brand new tablet for only $60. Updated Amazon Fire 7 unveiled

Amazon has quietly updated its budget Fire 7 tablets. To be more precise, the Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids have been updated.
There are no cardinal changes – these are all the same ultra-affordable devices with the appropriate parameters. Since technically the novelties are almost identical, we will talk about them as a single product.
So, the tablet still has a seven-inch screen with a resolution of only 1024 x 600 pixels. This is a very low resolution for 2022, but the price of the tablet is only $60 ($110 for the Kids version).
It is based on an unnamed 2 GHz quad-core processor, which is 30% faster than the solution in the previous generation of the tablet. RAM has doubled, but it’s only 2 GB. Flash memory is available 16 or 32 GB, since there is a slot for microSD. Also autonomy increased by 40%, and now Amazon promises up to 10 hours of work. From the rest, we can note the appeared USB-C port, a 2 megapixel camera and three colors.

Apple wants to use E Ink screens in the iPhone and iPad. The company is testing similar displays as auxiliary displays for flexible models.

Apple may start using E Ink screens in its devices. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo spoke about this.
Apple is testing an E Ink display for future foldable devices. The E Ink color display can be the go-to solution for foldable devices that need a cover or second screen due to its excellent power savings
Kuo says that Apple considers such screens as additional ones. For example, it can be a small secondary screen on a foldable iPhone or a screen on an iPad case.
E Ink screens only consume energy to change the image, so they are great for such tasks. We have already seen smartphones with such screens, so there is nothing new for the market.
When such devices can enter the market is not yet clear, but Apple may not release the first foldable smartphones until 2025, according to the same analyst.
