Realme 8 and 8 Pro: few changes, but some things got even worse. New items announced and named prices

Realme today unveiled two new mid-range smartphones: Realme 8 and 8 Pro. New items have become better than their predecessors, but not in everything. Some characteristics have changed little even since the Realme 6 line, but it is worth remembering that the manufacturer updates this family every six months, that is, only a year has passed since the release of Realme 6 and 6 Pro.

The 90 Hz IPS screen in the Realme 6 Pro last year gave way to the 60 Hz AMOLED panel in the Realme 7 Pro, now the relatively younger model has gone the same way. That is, the Realme 8 uses a Super AMOLED display without an increased frame rate and with a scanner under the screen. The diagonal is 6.4 inches with Full HD + resolution. Thus, both new items were left without a 90-Hz screen, which at one time attracted Realme 6 and 6 Pro.

At the same time, Realme 8 is based on SoC MediaTek Helio G95, and this is the same platform that underlies Realme 7, and the G90T in Realme 6 differs very little from it. In addition, there are no changes here and the 30-watt charging, and the battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, and, apparently, all five cameras with the main 64-megapixel sensor. But the smartphone has become significantly thinner and lighter: 8 mm and 177 g, respectively. RAM in Realme 8 is from 4 to 8 GB, flash memory is always 128 GB. Prices in India start at $ 205.

Realme 8 Pro also repeats Realme 7 Pro in many ways, but here the situation is more interesting. The device has exactly the same SoC Snapdragon 720G, the same 4500 mAh battery, the same 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of flash memory and a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen without an increased frame rate. At the same time, the fast charging power has been reduced from 65 to 50 W, the resolution of the front camera is now 16 megapixels instead of 32 megapixels, and the new product, apparently, does not have stereo speakers. But there is a 108-megapixel main camera, which the manufacturer focuses on, but not the fact that in the eyes of potential buyers it is worth those cuts relative to the Realme 7 Pro.

You can also highlight the Illuminating Yellow color, which glows in the dark. Realme 8 Pro launches in India at $ 250.

As a result, both new items look like a very modest update relative to their predecessors, and some aspects have become even worse.

Not a trace remained of $ 66,000. Bitcoin fell, followed by Ethereum

The week began for the main cryptocurrencies of the world with a rise in price and the establishment of new price highs, and ends with a fall, and quite noticeable. Over the course of a day, Bitcoin loses about 4.5% of its value, and as a result, for 1 BTC now they give not $ 66,000, but about $ 60,500.

After Bitcoin began to fall, Ethereum was still holding, but its rate had already gone down too, dropping below the psychological mark of $ 4,000. Analysts believe that such a fall in cryptocurrencies is due to their sell-off on the part of investors – they are fixing profits against the backdrop of a strong growth in value that has been observed since the end of September. This means that after the current correction, Bitcoin may rush to new heights, but whether altcoins will follow it is a big question.

Interestingly, against the background of a decrease in quotations of other cryptocurrencies from the Top 10, Solana feels very confident: it grew by almost 6% per day, and by almost 25% in a week.
