AMD and Nvidia have so far released only the older video cards of their new lines, and you can often only guess about the younger ones. But today, details about the Navi 32 and Navi 33 GPUs have appeared on the Web, which should form the basis of the RX 7800, RX 7700 and RX 7600 video cards and their modifications.

Radeon RX 7600, RX 7700 and RX 7800 low-cost graphics cards specs revealed

According to available data, the Radeon RX 7800 XT will receive 60 CU units, that is, 3840 stream processors. The GPU will run at up to 2.8 GHz, the card will also offer 16 GB of memory with a 256-bit bus and a frequency of 20 GHz and 64 MB of Infinity Cache. TBP will be 280 watts.

With this configuration, the new product will supposedly be a little slower than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. That being said, the RX 7900 XT, with its 5376 stream processors, is about 10% faster than the RTX 4070 Ti. The RX 7800 XT also compares in performance to the RX 6950 XT, which, according to AMD itself, is only 7% slower than the RX 7900 XT. Considering the huge difference in the number of stream processors between the RX 7800 XT and RX 7900 XT, such a small difference in performance looks strange.

The RX 7700 XT models are credited with 48 CU units or 3072 stream processors. The card should receive a GPU with a frequency of up to 2.6 GHz, 12 GB of memory with a 192-bit bus and a frequency of 20 GHz and a TBP of 225 watts. This model will supposedly roughly match the RX 6800 and the expected RTX 4070.

Radeon RX 7600 and RX 7600 XT will receive 8 GB of memory with a 128-bit bus. The older model will have 32 CUs or 2048 stream processors, the younger one will have 1792. The core frequency of the older one will be 2.8 GHz, the younger one will have 200 MHz less. Memory frequencies will also be different: 18 and 16 GHz, respectively. In both cases, the GPU will have 32MB of Infinity Cache and the TBP will be 180W and 140W.

The RedGamingTech authors who share the information provide a comparison with the RX 6650 XT and RX 6700 XT, although there is quite a noticeable difference between these cards. The RX 7600, in turn, must match the RX 6600 XT or RX 6650 XT. Thus, no impressive performance increase is expected for the younger models at all, which means that the gap between the younger and older cards of the line will be larger than in the RX 6000 generation.

Is it time to finally retire video cards with 2 3

Video cards with a small amount of memory can sometimes still perform well in modern games, if we are talking about the flagship solutions of yesteryear. However, now there is at least one game where accelerators with less than 4 GB of memory simply will not work. This is Halo Infinite.

Is it time to finally retire video cards with 2-3 GB of memory? Halo Infinite no longer runs on these adapters

A fresh patch for this game now simply does not allow you to run it on a PC with video cards that have less than 4 GB of memory. At the same time, such changes are not mentioned in the description of the patch.

It can be noted that the requirement in the form of at least 4 GB of memory has always been in the game, but usually such requirements are conditional. In particular, Halo Infinite ran on inappropriate 3D maps prior to the patch. For example, there are a lot of videos on the Web where the game is tested, including on a GeForce GTX 1050 with 2 GB of memory, which is quite enough to play even in Full HD with minimal graphics quality settings. But there is a much more powerful GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, which feels quite tolerable even in more demanding games.

There is a possibility that the restriction is just a mistake and will be removed soon. But not at all a fact.
