Radeon RX 6800 XT lags behind GeForce RTX 3080 by 7.4%, and RX 6800 is ahead of RTX 3070 by 8% – conclusions based on 224 tests

Experts from the German portal 3DCenter analyzed 17 reviews and the results of 224 gaming tests for GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080 and Radeon RX 6800, Radeon RX 6800 XT video cards.

The conclusions are as follows. On average, the GeForce RTX 3080 is 7.4% faster than the Radeon RX 6800 XT. But the Radeon RX 6800 outperforms the GeForce RTX 3070 by 8%. As for the advantage of RX 6800 XT over RX 6800, it is more than tangible – 15.3%.

When tested in 4K resolution, the top 7 GPUs look like this:

1. 120.4% – GeForce RTX 3090 (price tag $ 1,499);
2. 107.4% – GeForce RTX 3080 ($ 699 value);
3. 100% – Radeon RX 6800 XT (costs $ 649)
4. 86.7% – Radeon RX 6800 (price equal to $ 579);
5. 81.2% – GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (estimated at $ 1,199);
6. 80.2% – GeForce RTX 3070 (price tag at $ 499);
7. 56.6% – GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (costs $ 699).

This week, the first reviews of new video cards from AMD appeared on the net. Their sales started on November 18th. But just like nVidia’s RTX 30 Ampere generation graphics cards, the Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6800 XT are nearly impossible to find in retail.
