Radeon RX 6800 XT beat GeForce RTX 3090 in performance in the AotS test

The new Radeon RX 6800 XT benchmark results in Ashes of the Singularity (AotS) have delighted all supporters of the AMD camp. What is funny, at a cost half as much as compared to the GeForce RTX 3090, the new video chip is just slightly inferior to its competitor. But further – more interesting.

As it turned out, the slight lag behind NVDIA was temporary. According to the results of tests, the Radeon RX 6800 XT bypassed the GeForce RTX 3090 with a difference of 500 points. The tests were initially run at 1080p. But when the enthusiasts switched to 4K mode, things changed a bit. The processor used in both tests was a Core i7-8700K chip. The test results are below.<

We can conclude that RDNA 2 performs better than the Ampere architecture when it comes to heavy workloads and 4K resolution. Of course, taking Ashes of the Singularity as a benchmark is not worth it, video chips can show themselves differently in games. But such results still give food for thought.
