Quad camera, lidar and optical stabilization. Meizu 18 Pro received a camera no worse than the Galaxy S21 and Mi 11

Meizu will officially present the new flagships Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro in two days, but promotional materials and a photo of the box of the top model Meizu 18 Pro have already appeared on the Web. Judging by them, the smartphone camera will be very competitive.

Firstly, it will provide four sensors directly responsible for shooting, and the autofocus system uses lidar – like in the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This system is called Dark Vision, and this designation reveals its essence well.

The main sensor is close in size to an inch: its optical format is 1 / 1.3 inches. And its resolution is 50 megapixels. The camera also has a module with an ultra-wide-angle lens with an angle of view of 129 ° and a separate module for macro photography (with a focusing distance of 2 cm). And, of course, an optical stabilization system is provided.

Also, promotional materials confirm the use of UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 memory in the smartphone. Well, there was no doubt about the availability of Snapdragon 888. There is no data on the camera of the basic Meizu 18, but it will clearly be simpler: with fewer sensors and definitely without a lidar. Also today, the battery capacity of Meizu 18 Pro has become known – 4500 mAh.

For the basic Nothing Phone (1), with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, they will ask 470 euros in Europe. The 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB variants are priced at €500 and €550, respectively. At the same time, Nothing Phone (1) will not offer anything particularly outstanding in terms of characteristics: SoC Snapdragon 778G Plus, a 50-megapixel camera and an OLED screen are in much more affordable models. Moreover, the Google Pixel 6 is now in the same price range – it can be purchased in Europe for 500-550 euros. Isn’t Karl Pei asking a lot for a model that differs from most in a transparent cover and a couple of dozen LEDs placed under it?

Samsung has introduced a secure smartphone Galaxy XCover6 Pro. The manufacturer has not yet revealed the price, but earlier there were rumors about 600 euros. The device will go on sale in July.

Samsung has released a smartphone that neither Xiaomi, nor Huawei, nor Realme offers the likes of. Introduced secure Galaxy XCover6 Pro with a removable battery

Unlike many of its predecessors, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro offers far from the most basic specs. The heart here is the Snapdragon 778G, which means that the XCover6 Pro is more productive than most Samsung smartphones in the Galaxy A line.

The device has 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of flash memory that can be expanded with microSD cards, a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide resolution, a 13-megapixel front camera, and a 6.6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of Full HD + with support for 120 Hz. The display is covered with the latest Glass Victus + glass, but probably a film is glued on top, as is usually the case with secure smartphones.

The battery capacity is small by today’s standards and amounts to 4050 mAh, but the device’s battery is removable, that is, you can replace it yourself by simply opening the back cover. Moreover, hot swapping is supported.

Also worth noting is a USB-C 3.2 port, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, two customizable buttons, and DeX support. As for protection, we are talking about IP68 and the MIL-STD-810H standard.
