Power reserve up to 1220 km, power up to 449 hp, acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and better comfort than the Toyota Alphard. Huawei Aito M7 large hybrid crossover unveiled and already a hit
Together with the nova 10 and nova 10 Pro smartphones, Huawei today officially unveiled its second car, the Aito M7 hybrid crossover.
This is a large machine: length is 5030 mm, width – 1960 mm, height – 1760 mm. The wheelbase is 2935 mm, so it’s very spacious inside. Officials compare the Aito M7 to Toyota’s Alphard luxury minivan (and its Lexus-badged counterpart) and point out that the Aito M7 is superior in many ways. This applies to both dynamic performance and interior comfort.
Aito M7 is equipped with electric motors of Huawei’s own design. There is only one such engine in the database – with a power of 272 hp and located on the rear axle. This option consumes only 5.8 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers, can travel 230 km on pure electricity and has a maximum range of 1220 km. But up to 100 km / h, the basic version of the hybrid accelerates in 7.8 seconds.
Want better speakers? Then the option of choice is the all-wheel drive Aito M7, in which a 177 hp front power is added to the rear electric motor of the basic version. The power of the power plant in this case is 449 hp, and it takes only 4.8 s to accelerate to 100 km / h. True, on pure electricity, the top version can only travel 200 km, and the maximum range will be 1100 km. Consumption, respectively, 5.8 and 6.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The capacity of the traction battery is 40 kWh, the power plant includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
Aito M7 is very well equipped – there are three rows of seats, and the seats of the front and middle rows are equipped with ventilation, heating and a built-in massager.
The car received a powerful audio system with speakers built into the headrests, a large 15.6-inch screen with 2K resolution on the central panel (there is a 10.4-inch screen in front of the driver), a volumetric face recognition system (talking about bank-grade security), automatic valet parking, adaptive cruise control (part of many L2 + level assistants), proprietary OS HarmonyOS, which runs the infotainment system.
For charging smartphones, there are two ports that deliver 66 W, and two wireless pads with a power of 40 W. And this, of course, is not a complete list of all options. Speaking of safety: Aito M7 has the maximum five stars of the local CNCAP rating and 8 airbags (including curtains) airbags.
Prices have already been announced: the base version of the Aito M7 is priced at $47,780, while the top version costs $56,750. It’s cheap for a car of this size and equipment, so it’s no surprise that more than 10,000 Aito M7s have been ordered in just two hours. Deliveries of commercial vehicles should begin in August.

Even before the launch of Dojo, the Tesla supercomputer has 7360 Nvidia A-100 graphics accelerators and is ranked seventh in the world

Tesla AI Infra & AI Platform manager Tim Zaman said the electric vehicle maker now has the world’s seventh largest supercomputer by number of GPUs. And this is before the launch of the Dojo supercomputer.
Tim Zaman confirmed that Tesla has upgraded its supercomputer to 7360 A100 (80 GB) GPUs. This makes the Tesla supercomputer one of the largest in the world in terms of the number of GPUs.
The A100 GPUs are made by Nvidia, where Zaman worked before joining Tesla. Each processor has 80 GB of graphics memory and has a bandwidth of 2 TB per second.
Tesla’s current supercomputer is the forerunner of the Dojo. Interestingly, Tesla noted last year that the company’s supercomputer, even before Dojo, was already the fifth most powerful in the world with the 5760 Nvidia A100. The company has since added about 1,600 GPUs to the system.
The Tesla Dojo supercomputer is developed in-house, so instead of the Nvidia A100, it will use a custom Tesla D1 chip that will be supported by FP32, BFP16, and CFP8. Dojo will be optimized for machine learning workloads, specifically Tesla Autopilot and Full Self Driving.

Rostec showed the latest sensors based on various physical principles for detecting infantry and ground vehicles

Rostec for the first time showed the intelligence and signaling complex for covert surveillance 1K144-E, which includes sensors based on various physical principles. They are able to detect infantry and ground vehicles of the enemy, remaining completely invisible.
The complex includes seismic, infrared and magnetometric sensors up to 20 cm in size and weighing 150-600 grams. They are buried in the ground, camouflaged on the ground and provide continuous operation from built-in batteries for up to 30 days.
The system captures moving objects, determines the direction of their movement, counts and classifies them by type: wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles or manpower. The complex is able to detect an infantryman within a radius of 30 m, wheeled vehicles – up to 120 m, a tank or infantry fighting vehicle – up to 200 m. You can install such sensors in a matter of minutes.
The data is displayed on the operator’s monitor in the form of an electronic map of the area with indications of the location of sensors and detected objects. The system is already being produced by the Sozvezdie Concern (part of Roselectronics).
At the Army forum, for the first time, we present a full-scale sample of the export version of the 1K144-E (TAS3) complex. This is an advanced covert remote surveillance solution for assessing the situation at controlled borders. The complex uses sensors operating on various physical principles, which ensures the reliability of the transmitted data.

This is Chery Tiggo 9. The latest crossover was shown from all sides

After the appearance of the first spy photos of the flagship crossover Chery Tiggo 9, renders were created to more accurately examine the expected new product.
The first information about Chery Tiggo 9 appeared last year, the car passes under the model number T26. It will get premium retractable door handles and a new design.
According to Chery’s internal documentation, the T26 will be built on the T2X platform, and its dimensions will only slightly exceed the Tiggo 8 Pro. The exact dimensions will be 4780 x 1920 x 1700 mm with a wheelbase of 2800 mm. Chery Tiggo 9 will be available in 5-, 6- and 7-seater versions. It will be equipped with 1.6- or 2-liter turbo engines, as well as a 7-speed “robot”. The drive can be front or full.
Chery is also preparing a crossover codenamed T26J, which will be a sports modification of the Tiggo 9 with a 5-seater saloon, a 2-liter engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The front of the Chery Tiggo 9 will receive a frameless grille reminiscent of Omoda 5. The headlights are distinguished by LED running lights and a block of high and low beam located under them. Chery Tiggo 9 turn signals are represented by horizontal stripes that are located under the headlights. Fog lights and an adaptive cruise control radar can be seen at the bottom of the front bumper.
At the rear, Chery Tiggo 9 has a single block of lights. Stoplights and turn signals are located in the horizontal elements below them.
The renders were created by the same insider who first published images of Chery Arrizo 8, which ended up being very close to reality.
