Porsche 911 Dakar at the minimum. In Japan, the budget sports car Toyota GR86 turned into a crossover
The idea of a raised sports car, which is vividly embodied by the Porsche 911 Dakar, apparently appealed to the Carrosser company, which produces various components for tuning and self-finishing cars under the Cusco brand. Carrosser unveiled an uplifted and upgraded version of the Toyota GR86 budget sports car at the Tokyo Motor Show. The car received the designation GR86 Cross Over Concept, and with its appearance it already looks like a rally car.
“Tuners” installed new springs, shock absorbers and limited slip differential, finalized the brakes. Ground clearance increased by 25 mm. The wheel arches were “swollen” due to the lining, the off-road tires were installed – Bridgestone Dueler. The GR86 Cross Over Concept, unlike the Toyota GR86, is able to drive onto a dirt track, while the driver will not have to worry about the safety of the bumper. But Subaru’s 2.4-liter boxer engine, which produces 235 hp, apparently has not been modified.
Unlike the Porsche 911 Dakar, which will be released at least in a small series, the mass production of the GR86 Cross Over Concept does not shine – a concept is a concept.
