Sony has published a 7-minute video showing a PlayStation 5 teardown.
There is a hole for a special screw to attach the stand on the bottom of the console. Inside the device itself is an M.2 interface with PCIe 4.0 support for future memory expansion.
A large double-sided suction fan with a diameter of 120 mm and a thickness of 45 mm is responsible for cooling.
The drive is completely enclosed by a metal plate and two layers of insulating material. This is necessary to reduce the overall noise level.
A custom 825 GB SSD is responsible for memory. It is soldered to the motherboard.
The PlayStation 5 uses liquid metal as a heat conductor.

The outer panels on the sides of the console can be removed without additional tools. This decision is due to the fact that the PS5 can be easily cleaned. Plus, the design will probably be allowed to be customized.
