Playstation 5 games from PlayStation 3 appeared on PlayStation 3. Prices are low, but you can’t buy them yet
Recently, games for the old PlayStation 3 console appeared on the PlayStation 5 digital game store. This again sparked discussions that Sony plans to add backward compatibility with older platforms to the PlayStation 5.
According to VideoGamesChronicles, a typical search for PlayStation 3 games on the PlayStation 5 Store would direct users to the PlayStation Now cloud service. However, a search for Dead or Alive 5 brings users to the game’s page, which costs £7.99. It is also reported that there are separate pages for the games Bejeweled, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.
All of these games have a page in the PlayStation 5 store with the corresponding price. However, users are currently unable to purchase these PlayStation 3 titles from the PlayStation 5 store. There is still a possibility that this may be a bug, however, Dead or Alive 5 for PS3 is not available on the PlayStation Now cloud service in Europe.
Just the other day, we wrote that the PlayStation 5 should be backward compatible with older consoles. The corresponding patent was filed by Mark Cerny, lead system architect for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Last December, the first rumors emerged that it would soon be launched through a new service codenamed PlayStation Spartacus, which would feature games from the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and other consoles. It’s scheduled to launch this fall and will be the answer to Microsoft’s Xbox Gamepass service.

Rumors attribute the PlayStation 5 Pro to the ability to deliver 240 fps in games. But without ray tracing and not in 4K

Rumors about the PlayStation 5 Pro console appeared even before the release of the current version. Given the situation with the PS4, it is reasonable to expect a new model a few years after the start of sales of the regular PS5. And now some details have appeared on the Web.
The source says that the new set-top box will have a GPU with a performance of 14-16 TFLOPS. To recap, the current PS5 has 10.28 TFLOPS. One could say that the Xbox Series X already offers 12.1 TFLOPS, but still there is no point in directly comparing it here – you need to pay attention to the increase within the same line.
PS5 Pro is also credited with 18-20 GB of memory versus the current 16 GB. It is possible that the memory will become faster.
But more the source concentrates not on parameters, but on performance targets. Allegedly, the main task of the updated set-top box is to deliver 60 fps in 4K resolution at maximum quality settings for ray tracing effects. At medium settings, performance should rise to 120 fps at 1440-1800p, and without ray tracing, the console will supposedly be able to deliver 240 fps at 1080-1440p. True, why 240 fps for the average gamer is completely unclear.
So far, these data should be considered as rumors, but still the first of the above goals looks more than logical. True, it is not clear whether a 40-60% increase in GPU performance will be enough to achieve it.

Why GTA VI with such success of GTA V? The game has sold over 165 million copies.

Against the backdrop of active mergers and acquisitions in the gaming market, the corresponding question was asked by Take Two Interactive, which is primarily known as the owner of Rockstar and, accordingly, the GTA franchise.
Judging by the answer, now the company is not considering the possibility of selling itself to anyone.
We are a public company and we are here for the shareholders. However, our track record of creating value as an independent business is amazing, especially if we exclude the last three months. We think there are many great times ahead for us and we enjoy being an independent company.
One of the main reasons Take Two Interactive is unlikely to want to sell its assets to anyone is the success of GTA V. The company said that it sold another 5 million copies of the game in the last quarter, so now the total circulation is an incredible 165 million copies.
Speaking about the finances of Take Two Interactive, we can note the report on the results of the 2022 financial year, which ended on March 31 for the company. Revenue was $3.5 billion, up 4%. Net profit decreased from 589 to 418 million dollars.
