PlayStation 5 dimensions compared to Xbox Series X and Series S

The Japanese decided to take a completely different path, making the PlayStation 5 in a futuristic design with smooth curves and intricate details.

In the vertical position, the PS5 loses to the Xbox Series X in compactness, but it is thinner in the horizontal position, and this allows it to be placed under the TV or in an existing niche.

Placement for the console is quite important as they require adequate ventilation to avoid overheating and dust accumulation inside the case. This can affect the performance of the device and the noise level of the cooling system.

The dimensions of the PlayStation 5 are 390 x 260 x 104 mm (height, depth and width), and the Xbox Series X is 301 x 151 x 151 mm. There are also differences in case design. Sony allows PS5 owners to open the console for dust-cleaning and expandable storage with an M.2 SSD slot. Xbox Series X does not provide access to the inside of the device, and the soldering expands using a proprietary slot.

In addition to all of the above, there are differences in the stand design. Xbox Series X and Series S received non-removable stands, and Sony offers users to rearrange themselves depending on the position of the console.
