We have already described in detail the parameters of the latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT, and now there are large live photos of the new flagship model. Also included are photos of Navi 31, the GPU that powers the Radeon RX 7900 XTX.

These photos give a better view of the cooler and heat spreader. The latter is made of metal and lacks a large number of cutouts. Each of the three cooler fans is reportedly equipped with a thermistor. Also, the implementation of the backlight is clearly visible in the photo.

The Radeon RX 7900 XTX received a full-size PCB with four ports: DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C. Early engineering versions (such as those demonstrated during the announcement) had miniDP connectors, but they are not in the final version.

As for the GPU, we recall that it consists of one 5nm GCD (Graphics Core Die) module and six 6nm MCDs (Memory Controller Die). All this is “packed” in a BGA package.

By the way, AMD has published one interesting slide that promises an almost hassle-free transition from the Radeon RX 6950 XT to the Radeon RX 7900 XTX: the power supply does not need to be changed, just like the case.

The latest flagship graphics cards from Nvidia and AMD do not support the PCIe 5.0 interface, but it may appear in simpler graphics cards. According to the latest data, models with AMD Navi 33 and Nvidia AD 106 GPUs will receive PCIe 5.0 support.

The GeForce RTX 4060 and Radeon RX 7600 will have something that the GeForce RTX 4090 and Radeon RX 7900 XTX don't have.  They will receive support for PCIe 5.0

The most likely production models based on these GPUs are the Radeon RX 7600 and GeForce RTX 4060, respectively. Both will be released next year, presumably, their debut may take place at Computex 2023, which starts on May 30. Full support for the interface is out of the question – for these models, eight PCIe 5.0 lanes will be enough.

Official sales of AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT 3D accelerators should start soon, so video card manufacturers are gradually starting to stir up interest in new products. So, the video teaser published by the developers well demonstrated the features of the Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 Nitro (obviously, there will be versions of both XTX and XT).

Most importantly, in this model, as in all GeForce RTX 4090s, there will be a vapor chamber. It will remove heat from both the GPU and the memory chips at the same time. Other components of the cooler are standard for the flagship model – a huge heatsink, three fans.

Other features of the Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 Nitro include three 8-pin auxiliary power connectors, a 20-phase power subsystem, and a slightly modified circuit board.

What video card is needed for such a screen BOE

BOE is working on the industry’s first 600Hz LCD panel. The network got frames from the official video, which demonstrates a laptop with a similar screen.

Details are at a minimum. It is known that the screen diagonal is 16 inches with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The laptop itself is based on one of the GeFoce RTX video cards.

Such a screen, by itself, will be aimed at gaming laptops. But it is still completely unclear when it will appear in production models. For example, BOE showed a 27-inch 500-Hz display back in January, but so far such monitors have not appeared on the market.

On the other hand, you need to understand that the increased frame rate of the screen is good when the number of frames per second in a particular game corresponds to this frequency. And to achieve 600 fps is possible only in fairly old or very simple games from a graphical point of view when using very productive video cards.
