Perhaps these are the best smart glasses. TCL unveils Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition

Published

Someday smart glasses will become as everyday as smartwatches are now, but so far there are not many glasses on the market, even in the form of conceptual devices. The recently announced TCL Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition compares favorably with other similar devices with one important feature – the presence of a color screen. Neither Ray-Ban Stories, co-created with Facebook, nor Razer Anzu have this. The HTC Vive Flow has a color screen, but it’s still a VR headset, which very remotely resembles glasses.

Meanwhile, the Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition really looks like completely ordinary glasses. But inside the screen is not even a Mini, but a Micro-LED. There is also a built-in loudspeaker, touchscreen control panel and a camera, and in this model it is located on the bridge of the nose, and not to the side of the lens.

The control interface looks nice and functional. The video demonstrates possible scenarios for daily use of the glasses, from watching videos and reading emails to capturing an image.

Alas, when will be released and how much will cost Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition, has not yet been reported. But TCL is a very large company, and it is quite capable of organizing mass production of such a device in the near future.

This is what Huawei’s first smartwatch that measures blood pressure looks like. Huawei Watch D showed on the render

Published

on

Earlier, Huawei has already said that it is going to introduce a smartwatch with support for blood pressure measurement by the end of the year, and now a render of the device has been published on the Weibo social network.

The render is indicative: it shows the most important thing – the measured blood pressure, and just below – the pulse. This watch will be addressed to those who are much more actively monitoring their vital signs than their progress during training. Otherwise, instead of a dedicated Health key, there would be a button labeled Sport (or something like that).

In terms of design, the new product differs from the current models of Huawei, but this is understandable. One might think that the device, along with a heart rate sensor, will receive a function for determining blood oxygen saturation. And if there is also the possibility of measuring the ECG, then Watch D can be called the most functional device available on the market based on the capabilities of monitoring vital signs. By the way, Huawei watches have already learned how to measure body temperature.

The official premiere of the Huawei Watch D is expected in December. Also in December we are waiting for the premiere of the Huawei clamshell smartphone, which will compare favorably with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 with a larger external display.

BYD, a renowned car and electric vehicle manufacturer in China, has unveiled a smartwatch that is arguably the most useful smartwatch for car owners. If ordinary smartwatches, like the Oppo Watch 2, only allow you to open the car using the built-in NFC module, then the functionality of the BYD product is much richer.

With this watch, you can start the car, open the doors and trunk, open and close the windows, turn on the air conditioner and set the temperature of the climate control, turn on the built-in alarm if it is difficult to find the car in the parking lot. Telemetry is also transmitted to the watch – the speed and engine speed. Surely it will be possible to view other parameters such as battery voltage and tire pressure.
