OPPO gets patent for smartphone with sub-screen camera

OPPO has patented the design of a smartphone with a camera under the display. And this new patent resembles the OnePlus 7T except for one detail.

Oppo Mobile Telecommunications filed a smartphone design patent with CNIPA, China National Intellectual Property Office, at the end of 2019. However, it was only approved and published on October 23, 2020. As usual, the patent was discovered and edited by LetsGoDigital. The designers did a good job and provided pretty high quality renders of the patent. At the very least, you can evaluate the device in general terms, and not in individual figures.

At first glance, the new smartphone looks a lot like the OnePlus 7T. In terms of the overall design and appearance of the back of the device. However, the patent is equipped with a sub-screen selfie camera. In addition, there are slight differences between the camera modules on the back of the devices. At the bottom of the proprietary smartphone is the USB Type-C port and SIM card slot, while the left and right sides of the device have a volume rocker and a power button respectively. There are also two holes at the bottom, probably for microphones.
