Oppo launched a new series of smartphones Oppo Reno5 a few days ago. The series included two models: Reno5 and Reno 5 Pro. The smartphones turned out to be so good that in the first 10 minutes of sales, Oppo’s earnings exceeded $ 15 million. In general, the novelty has gone well, and here you can’t even argue with that. However, it is somehow not solid at the end of 2020 to release only two models of smartphones from the same series. You need at least three! It doesn’t matter that every new smartphone is in short supply, because no one can arrange normal supplies. At least three smartphones in a series and this is not discussed!

Oppo confirmed the existence of the Oppo Reno 5 Pro

And now Oppo finally came out with an official statement that Oppo Reno5 Pro + still exists and will show it to us on December 24th. For this case, a live photo of the novelty was immediately leaked. In the photo we see two smartphones: one with a textured back panel, and the other with a glossy one. That’s just the same textured smartphone – this is the Oppo Reno5 Pro +.

Following the live photo, an official teaser from Oppo arrived, which confirms everything that appeared before. As for the characteristics and features, on board the Oppo Reno5 Pro + there is a screen with an AMOLED matrix and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The hardware is based on Snapdragon 865, which is very solid. RAM 8 gigabytes (at least such a device was in Geekbench). 4500 mAh battery with fast charging 65 watts of power. Main camera with four sensors with a resolution of 50 + 16 + 13 + 2 megapixels. Front camera with 32 megapixels.

We are waiting for the premiere to find out the price tags and where this smartphone will be sold. Let’s hope that he will still be able to officially get to us, because on paper it all looks very cool.

Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones are unlikely to receive a sub screen

Samsung is not considering adding under-screen front cameras to the Galaxy S23 line of smartphones. They were not in the Galaxy S22 either. This is stated on the Korean site Naver. A user under the pseudonym Ianzuk, citing sources in the supply chain, claims that Samsung does not have much confidence in the quality of this technology.

Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones are unlikely to receive a sub-screen front camera

The source believes that the under-screen cameras do not yet match the quality of conventional front cameras. ZTE and Xiaomi also had similar problems. They also experimented with under-screen solutions, but failed to solve all the problems.

Even with the $1,799 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, the quality of selfie shots was lower than with a regular camera. Therefore, according to the source, Samsung will not release a premium line with such cameras.

It was previously reported that the front cameras in the Galaxy S23 will receive more powerful image sensors with a resolution of 12 megapixels. And these smartphones are credited with the main camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels.

If we copy then only the best Gionee P50 Pro

Today we already wrote about the start of sales in China of the LeTV Y1 Pro smartphone, which is trying to resemble the iPhone 12, and now the Gionee P50 Pro has gone on sale in China, and the name itself contains a clue which model served as a source of inspiration for the creators of this model.

Indeed, the Gionee P50 Pro is desperately trying to be similar to the Huawei P50 Pro – a striking similarity can be seen in the design of the main camera. It is interesting that, at the same time, in the main camera of Gionee there is only one sensor – 13-megapixel. The remaining modules, it turns out, are props.

Well, on the iPhone 13, the novelty is similar from the face – a screen cutout. Although, in order to accommodate a single module with a 5-megapixel sensor, a waterdrop notch would be enough. But then he would be a smartphone like everyone else, and not the most current iPhone.

However, all jokes aside, the Gionee P50 Pro for its price (the cost of the basic version is only $100) is well equipped. There are stereo speakers, a USB-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a standard headphone jack. The Gionee device has a platform in common with the LeTV Y1 Pro: both are built on the 12nm SoC Unisoc Tiger T310 (in its configuration, we recall, one Arm Cortex-A75 core with a frequency of 2.0 GHz and three Arm Cortex-A55 with a frequency of 1, 8 GHz). The screen is characterized by a diagonal of 6.51 inches and a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.
