Oppo and OnePlus made a statement about the possible exit from Europe
Whether Oppo and OnePlus are pulling out of important European markets is not entirely clear yet.
Recall that yesterday there was news about the potential departure of Oppo and OnePlus from a number of European markets. Oppo, when asked to confirm or deny this, said that its business in the UK and Europe remains “normal”, while OnePlus’ statement explicitly denied plans to leave the region. The latest statement from Oppo’s press office in Europe does not bring conclusive clarity.
Oppo and OnePlus are targeting all existing European markets. We’ve had a great start to 2023 with several successful product launches in Europe and we have a lineup of future products for the rest of the year. As always, Oppo and OnePlus will continue to bring more innovative products and best-in-class services to users in the future.
From the looks of it, Oppo and OnePlus will remain in existing European markets until at least the end of 2023. But the companies are not saying anything about their plans beyond 2023.
The companies also talked about the ban on the use of their phones in Germany due to a patent trial that ended in favor of Nokia. They released the following joint statement:
The injunction is currently limited to the German market. Oppo is operating as normal in other European countries. We are committed to our existing markets and are still actively working to resolve the issue with Nokia. Meanwhile, all users, including users from Germany, can continue to use their products, receive after-sales service and future updates.
According to popular insider Roland Quandt, Oppo will shut down its German team by the end of June. However, he added that this does not necessarily mean that she will stop working in the EU /

The $85 Redmi 10A was a hit in China during the big 618 sale. It outperformed the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

There is a big 618 summer sale going on in China right now, and there are periodic reports of the hottest items on different platforms. So, if we talk about the largest marketplace JD.com, then in the category of smartphones there is no equal Redmi 10A – this affordable model at $ 85 has surpassed the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in popularity. Moreover, Redmi 10A on JD.com simply sold out.
Redmi 10A is on the other side of the parameters and consumer qualities from the iPhone 14 Pro. The device is built on SoC MediaTek Helio G25, equipped with a camera with sensors with a resolution of 13 and 5 megapixels, an IPS screen with a diagonal of 6.53 inches and a resolution of 1600 x 820 pixels, a 5000 mAh battery that provides up to 35 days of battery life in standby mode .

Some AMD processors may freeze after 1044 days of continuous operation

AMD Epyc processors of the Rome generation (the second generation of Epyc) revealed one curious feature. It lies in the fact that such a CPU can freeze after 1044 days of continuous operation.
This feature means that owners of servers based on such CPUs may need to reboot the server before the specified time in order to avoid system freezes.
The problem is related to the fact that the CPU core cannot wake up from the CC6 sleep state. That being said, AMD states that the crash time may vary depending on the spread spectrum and REFCLK frequency. The nature of the problem is of a hardware nature, so, unfortunately, it will not be possible to fix it.
In addition to rebooting, there is a second method to avoid freezing: disable CC6 sleep mode.
In general, in most cases, this problem will not affect server owners, since maintenance and installation of security updates usually occur much more often, including requiring a reboot. However, in case someone uses the Linux hot fix feature to upgrade without rebooting, they may encounter the above problem.

The updated eighth generation Volkswagen Golf was first shown without camouflage. He has a huge “TV” on the front

It’s no secret that Volkswagen is preparing an updated eighth-generation Golf – it should debut at the end of this year (or early next) and will be sold unchanged until 2028, after which it will go down in history. And now, for the first time, the updated Golf (and even in the plug-in hybrid version) was captured without camouflage – it winds kilometers somewhere on the roads of Germany.
Since we are talking about a mid-term update, there are no special innovations in the exterior. The car will get narrower headlights, a slightly modified front bumper, taillights with new graphics.
But in the cabin of such a car (Golf eHybrid is one of the top versions of the model) a media system with a huge screen is installed. The company does not officially name the size of the diagonal, but, apparently, a 15-inch screen is installed as in the ID electric liftback. 7. But if for a large ID. 7 (we recall that it is the electric successor to the Passat) such a display is still somehow appropriate, but for a Golf it looks very large.
It is also noted that the touchpads on the steering wheel, which Golf owners complained about, have been replaced with conventional mechanical buttons.
